Role Description Innovative Renal Care is seeking a detail-oriented Eligibility Specialist to manage insurance processing and benefit verification for our dialysis clinics. In this fully remote role, you will serve as a critical link between patients, clinic staff, and insurance providers to ensure seamless access to care. - Perform comprehensive benefit verifications via phone or online tools to confirm patient coverage and network status specific to the rendering clinic. - Maintain 100% accuracy of patient insurance records within the billing system, proactively initiating updates as coverage changes occur. - Serve as the primary internal contact for complex insurance setups and coordination of benefits (COB), ensuring strict compliance with Medicare and CMS rules. - Partner closely with clinic staff, collections, and insurance educators to ensure timely verification and a seamless setup for all insurance changes. - Manage region- and clinic-specific reports to track new or inactive policies, preventing billing delays or lapses in life-sustaining patient coverage. - Communicate proactively with patients and clinic teams regarding the loss of insurance benefits to prevent disruptions in dialysis treatment. - Initiate authorization requests as required by specific insurance providers and clinic network status. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and significant relevant professional experience will be considered. - Demonstrated experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or patient access. - Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining high standards of data accuracy. - Prior exposure to Medicare Coordination of Benefits (COB) and the 30-month coordination period for End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) preferred. - Experience using insurance portals and clearinghouses for digital benefit verification preferred. - Experience working in a high-volume Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) environment or a centralized billing office (CBO) preferred. - Proficiency in Spanish is preferred but not required. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook. Role Description Innovative Renal Care is building a new in‑house claims management system to support dialysis operations, payer relationships, and value‑based care initiatives. We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in healthcare claims data, ideally dialysis, to help design, maintain, and optimize the data infrastructure that powers this platform. This is a hands‑on role focused on SQL Server, Azure, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and end‑to‑end ETL development. You’ll support both new system build‑out and ongoing maintenance of existing pipelines, ensuring clean, reliable, high‑quality claims data flows across the organization. Responsibilities - Build, maintain, and optimize SQL Server–based data pipelines, stored procedures, and ETL processes - Support the development of IRC’s new in‑house claims management system, including ingestion, transformation, and validation of dialysis claims data - Maintain and enhance existing data infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability - Develop and manage ETL workflows using SSIS and Azure Data Factory - Work within Azure environments to support data movement, orchestration, and automation - Troubleshoot data issues, pipeline failures, and performance bottlenecks across SQL Server and Azure - Collaborate with analysts, IT, and cross‑functional partners to ensure accurate and timely claims data availability - Contribute to data governance, quality controls, and HIPAA‑aligned security practices - Participate in evaluating and adopting new Microsoft technologies; exposure to Microsoft Fabric is a plus Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field - 5+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database engineering - Strong hands‑on experience with SQL Server, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and complex queries - Proficiency with SSIS for ETL development and maintenance - Experience with Azure data services; Azure Data Factory strongly preferred - Background working with healthcare claims data, ideally dialysis or ESRD - Ability to support both new system development and ongoing infrastructure maintenance - Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities - Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or modern Azure analytics tools Benefits - Comprehensive benefits program including a 401(k) match - Healthcare coverage - A broad range of other benefits that compare favorably within our industry and marketplace Company Description We are one of the largest dialysis service providers in the U.S., partnering with local physicians to deliver high-quality care to patients with ESRD and other kidney conditions.
