Inngest

• Own escalated support from L1: investigate, reproduce, and resolve complex technical issues before they ever need to reach an engineer. • Debug hard problems — read logs, trace execution, reproduce issues locally, and get to root cause. Use modern tools (including AI agents where helpful) to accelerate investigation. • Write clear, well-documented Linear tickets when bugs need engineering attention: repro steps, impact, hypothesis, everything an engineer needs to jump in without context. • Communicate directly with users throughout an investigation — setting expectations, sharing findings, and closing the loop. • Spot patterns across tickets and bring them to product discussions — recurring issues are product signals. • Contribute to internal debugging tooling, including APIs, dashboards, triage AI agents or similar. • Improve internal and public-facing documentation based on what you learn every day.

• Bring Inngest's brand to life across marketing, sales, and community • Execute on a wide range of deliverables with design team • Digital, Physical, and Experiential design responsibilities • Ensure brand consistency across various projects

• Create short and long-form content that is engaging and educational • Design an interview series to raise awareness of Inngest's infrastructure expertise • Build independent research reports to highlight important conversations in our market • Shape product launch content strategy, from the bottom of the funnel (BoFu) to the top of the funnel (ToFu) • Adopt a data-first approach to stay up to date with the latest trends and topics in our field • Help shape and develop our content voice, style, and structure as the company grows • Partner with product marketing and engineers to understand our products and technology

• Collaborate with other engineers to architect core systems for Inngest, including message streams, real-time connectivity to external clients, consistent hashing caches, etc. • Collaborate with systems engineers to help develop our execution engine, state store, etc. (in Go) • Develop internal tooling (in Go) to manage our systems • Provision and monitor systems on public clouds, bare metal, and, in the future, our own hardware. • Ensure our systems are up to date and secure

• Architect and implement solutions in our queueing layer, state store, and execution layer (eg. concurrency over time, or function debounce) • Plan and implement improvements on throughput, and latency at hundreds of thousands to millions of requests per second • Contribute to systems architecture and infrastructure changes as we grow • Collaborate with team members to expose internal data across metrics stores, APIs, and customer dashboards we host in our cloud UI • Work with backend engineers to design APIs that can be used across the Inngest cloud dashboard, dev server and CLIs • Dogfood the Inngest product and develop ideas for improvements, features, or integrations • Communicate with our users through Github, email and Discord • Write technical specs for features and documentation for our users
