• As the Junior Editor, you will be responsible for running, maintaining, and improving a suite of editorial tools that are crucial in maintaining the high standards of the novels we publish. • Your primary responsibilities will be to run editing tools on manuscripts and to review manuscripts to ensure they meet our quality criteria. • Collaborate with the Content Team to support overall editorial processes. • Provide detailed feedback and suggestions for improvements to editing tools. • Ability to perform quick-turnaround copyedits, line edits, proofreading, and beta-reading as needed.

• Support day-to-day German accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping • Partner with external accounting providers and review local accounting deliverables • Prepare and post journal entries (revenue, accruals, prepaids, payroll, invoices, intercompany, etc.) • Support and improve month-end close and reconciliations (bank, AP/AR, etc.) • Help manage and ensure compliance with: • German payroll • Tax and compliance requirements • Statutory reporting requirements • Ensure clear documentation and maintain internal controls in a fast-moving startup environment • Support German GAAP year-end reporting and liaise with auditors and advisors as needed • Act as the primary point of contact for limited office operations
