Role Description Inizio Medical has built a large team of medical writers in South Africa, becoming the leading medical communications company in Africa. We are recruiting for a new intake of medical writers who will start with us in July 2026. Our teams in South Africa work alongside our global teams (based in the US, UK, South Africa and EU) in our three med comms agencies: ApotheCom, Nucleus Global and Ashfield MedComms. This will give you the opportunity to work on cutting edge science with world-leading experts in a variety of therapy areas, and help to deliver impactful results for the healthcare community. To give you the best start in your med comms career, you will receive industry-leading, award-winning training through our allegro.WRITE training programme. During your first six weeks with the company, a dedicated team of experts will provide training and individual mentoring focused on developing: - Writing skills - Project management - Teamwork - Networking Combining complex scientific understanding with creativity, Inizio Medical develops impactful medical affairs strategies and compelling communications. Underpinned by world-class medical analytics capabilities and applied AI tools, Inizio Medical redefines the role of medical affairs in drug development and commercialization. Role Description The Senior Print Specialist leads the delivery of print and physical outputs, ensuring work is produced accurately, efficiently, and to required standards. They apply production expertise to translate creative concepts into practical solutions, advising on materials, finishes, and formats to enhance quality and impact. Working across multiple projects, they collaborate with creative, delivery, and account teams to ensure outputs are delivered on time, on brief, and to a high standard. They also help maintain and enhance production quality by reviewing work, managing suppliers, and sharing knowledge of print processes and approaches. This position is remote with ability to access any of our Inizio Medical offices and report into the Senior Print Manager. - Lead the delivery of print and physical outputs, ensuring work is produced accurately, on time, and to required standards - Translate creative concepts into practical production solutions, advising on formats, materials, finishes, and print techniques - Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, reliability, and value across projects - Oversee production processes, including artwork handoff and final output, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout - Review and refine own and others' work to ensure quality across outputs and maintain high production standards - Resolve production challenges, ensuring solutions are practical, efficient, and in consideration of project requirements - Provide guidance on how print and physical outputs can enhance creative work through materials, finishes, and production approaches - Contribute to innovation by identifying new materials, techniques, and suppliers that improve quality, efficiency, and creative impact - Support team capability by sharing knowledge of print processes, materials, and production best practices Qualifications - 5+ years' experience in print production, creative production, or a related field - Experience delivering high-quality print and physical outputs across a range of formats - Experience with print processes, materials, finishes, and production techniques - Ability to translate creative concepts into practical production solutions - Experience managing suppliers and overseeing production to ensure quality, reliability, and timely delivery - Experience reviewing work and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and production quality - Experience collaborating with creative, delivery, and account teams to support project delivery - Interest in new materials, techniques, and innovations in print and physical production - Ability to resolve production challenges and adapt to constraints Benefits - Health coverage - Retirement plan - PTO
