Test Scheduling Specialist

Role Description We are seeking a dedicated and capable Test Scheduling Specialist to streamline our patient experience for scheduling procedures and testing. The primary responsibilities for this position are: - Updating registration information - Verification of benefits - Obtaining authorization/pre-certification for all tests, surgeries, and patient visits This position plays a key role in facilitating patient care. Once fully trained, this position offers the opportunity to be remote. To be successful in this role, you should exhibit exceptional customer service abilities to align with Goodman Campbell’s dedication to a positive patient experience. Outstanding referral coordinators are detailed and accurate while striving for efficiency. Active communication and respectful collaboration with peers is vital to the success of this role. Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent - 1-3 years medical office or hospital experience preferred - 2 years medical billing experience preferred Requirements - Deliver a high level of customer service while scheduling procedures and testing - Update registration details - Scan Insurance Card if applicable or contact patient for details - Obtain any missing information in the chart or registration - Schedule requested procedures and follow-up appointments - Notify appropriate department/staff to complete pre-certification, procedure scheduling, and benefit verification - Provide patient with appropriate information & instructions - Reschedule and cancel procedures/tests when appropriate - Answer non-medical questions, as needed - Work with Medical Administrative Assistants to schedule tests and complete all required pre-authorizations - Work with Prior Authorization team to obtain required referrals and prior-authorizations for all scheduled appointments, procedures, tests, surgeries, injections, and physical therapy - Obtain eligibility/benefits verification for all Goodman Campbell procedures - Complete required documentation within electronic health record (NextGen) regarding authorizations, benefit verification, insurance, and patient demographics - Update incorrect insurance & demographic information in office practice software as corrections are found in referral and/or pre-authorization process - Collaborate with all necessary GCBS team members in a respectful manner to ensure efficient workflow of scheduling - Other duties as assigned Company Description At Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine (GCBS), every member of our team is essential to fulfilling our mission to deliver exceptional and timely neurosurgical care with a steadfast emphasis on quality. Prior Authorization Specialist

Role Description We are seeking a dedicated and capable Prior Authorization Specialist to facilitate the pre-certification process for our patient procedures. The primary responsibilities of this role include: - Updating patient registration information - Verification of benefits - Authorization/pre-certification for all procedures requiring authorization This position plays a key role in facilitating patient care and effective information intake for billing and collections purposes. Once fully trained, this position offers the opportunity to be remote. Outstanding employees in this role are detailed, accurate, and efficient while striving to deliver the highest level of service. Active communication and respectful collaboration with peers is vital to success. The abilities to multi-task and be flexible are essential. Qualifications - Knowledge of medical insurance plans - Ability to work independently - Flexible and able to multi-task - Exceptional attention to detail - Ability to collaborate and communicate clearly - Ability to respectfully interact with physicians, providers, peers, and patients - Outstanding computer and internet skills - Alignment with HIPAA regulations - Respect for organizational policies, procedures, systems, and objectives Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent - 1-3 years hospital or medical office experience - 2 years of medical billing experience preferred Physical Demands - Able to sit for an extended period of time in focused work - Long periods of telephone and computer work
