Job Purpose - This role at Honda is in the Customer Experience (CX) Architecture Unit within the IT department. - Your goal will be to provide seamless, sustainable, and innovative solutions that exceed expectations and drive trust and satisfaction with the Honda and Acura brands. - Prior demonstrable experience of creating software architecture for high-load scalable websites and webservices is a must. Key Accountabilities - Strategic Architecture Leadership: - Maintain a deep understanding of the application portfolios, including their technical and functional health, and ensure alignment with business strategies and priorities. - Define current ("as-is") state and future ("to-be") state architectures. - Develop roadmaps to target states, including necessary interim state architectures to support the transition. - Stay current with technology and industry trends, incorporating relevant innovations into strategic planning. - Build and maintain strong relationships with business and IT partners, ensuring clear communication and alignment on strategic technology direction and architectural vision. - Solution Delivery: - Be the solution architect for high-impact programs and projects within the portfolio. - Develop solution architecture blueprints, POVs, and guide architectural decisions. - Conduct architecture reviews and provide hands-on guidance and support to development teams. - Ensure solution design and implementation conform to enterprise standards and strategic objectives. - Architecture Governance: - Contribute and leverage enterprise technology standards, promote and follow the architecture governance processes. - Familiar with shared enterprise platforms and their associated architecture, including cloud platforms, and AI platforms Qualifications, Experience, and Skills - Minimum Educational Qualifications: - A Bachelors level degree / diploma in Computer Science / Data Science / Information Technology / Information Systems / Electronics, or a related field of study. - Minimum relevant work experience: - 5 or more years of experience managing technology portfolios supporting corporate functions such as Marketing, Compliance, and IT operations. - 5 or more years of enterprise architecture experience, with a proven track record of defining target state architecture and roadmaps for large, complex portfolios. - Demonstrated success leading digital transformation initiatives, including legacy modernization and large-scale vendor solution implementations. - 5 or more years of experience with cloud platforms, e.g. - Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Microsoft Azure. - Experience with Sitecore is a must, alongside good understanding of Sitecore architecture, including content delivery vs. content management. - Experience optimizing Sitecore solutions for performance, scalability, and availability - Familiarity with personalization, caching strategies, and content deployment pipelines - Should possess in-depth expertise in modern applications, data, and integration architectures. - Working knowledge of Salesforce architecture (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or integrations) - Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST / SOAP APIs. - Familiarity with Apex, Lightning Web Components, or declarative configurations will be a plus - Understanding of data models, governor limits, and performance considerations - Strong development experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core alongside good understanding of ASP.NET MVC / Web API architectures - Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs - Familiarity with dependency injection, logging, and exception handling patterns - Understanding of DevOps - CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments - Proven ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend implementation of patterns and standards. - Hands-on experience with AI implementation, including Microsoft Copilot Studio, Sitecore AI, Salesforce AI, etc. a plus. - Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels. - Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and inspire architects and engineers. - Other Job-Specific Skills: - Any prior experience working in Automotive industry, product ownership knowledge will be asset Workstyle - This is an onsite job, requiring at least 4 days per workweek presence at our corporate office in Torrance, CA. Key Accountabilities - Assist in advanced research projects of emerging technologies utilizing Agile methodologies to prove hypothesis and define value with speed. Effectively utilize technical project resources while maintaining leading knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories. - Assist senior and principal researchers in sensing for NA market and consumer trends, extract emerging technologies, and propose research initiatives - Compile and prepare sensing results and conclusions for internal stakeholders in support of setting technical direction and strategy. - Report results of sensing results to department leadership, division leadership, and other internal partners to explain how findings may impact future product offerings. - Support technical teams, manage project timelines, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards - Monitor emerging technologies utilizing Agile methodologies to prove hypothesis and define value with speed. - Recommend research partners, industry experts, consortium members, university staff, and policy leaders to gather expertise and grow capability. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications: - Bachelor's of Science in Engineering field or equivalent relevant experience in science/engineering research capacity. Minimum Experience: - 2 or more years relevant experience with focus on battery material characterization, manufacturing batteries rare earth metals, cathode / anode chemistries, battery performance modeling, recycling of battery materials, understanding of resource circularity. Chemistry - Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP). - New battery cell design - Cell qualification - Cell manufacturing &c. Other Job-Specific Skills: - Passion for research, solving hard problems, and challenging the status quo. - Ability to learn new topics of apply principles to design and manufacturing challenges. - Working knowledge of Agile processes and methodologies - Design experiments to test hypothesis and prove them out. - Utilize agile process and methodologies to conduct sensing and research initiatives - Confidently make autonomous decisions bounded by the research mission and understanding of the company business model. - Ability to efficiently manage resources to achieve project initiatives and schedules - Clearly communicate new research and technology concepts and ideas to technical team members and management. - Scientifically analyze data provided from tests and experiments to gather knowledge and understanding of the subject of research. - Oversee overall research project schedule, budget, and direction.
