Role Description We're currently looking for a P2P Node.js Engineer (Remote) to help expand and strengthen our core P2P networking and storage primitives. Qualifications - Extensive knowledge of P2P protocols (Kademlia, BitTorrent, libp2p, hypercore) - Demonstrable experience optimizing network protocols for performance - Advanced JavaScript skills for implementing high-performance networking code - Deep understanding of UDP and TCP/IP networking, including NAT traversal techniques - Experience implementing custom binary protocols and serialization formats - Familiarity with cryptographic primitives for secure P2P communication - Experience with performance profiling and optimization of networked systems Requirements - 5+ years experience building production P2P systems or distributed systems - Experience optimizing JavaScript for low-latency networking applications - Knowledge of V8 internals and JavaScript performance characteristics - Experience with libuv and asynchronous I/O in C - Contributions to open-source P2P projects or networking libraries - Experience building reliable systems on unreliable networks - Experience with Node.js native addons and bridging between JS and C

Learn more about Keet: keet.io Join Our Mission: Frontend Engineer (100% Remote) We are seeking a talented and motivated Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Keet Desktop, our cross-platform P2P communications application built with React and running on the Pear runtime. You'll work on everything from UI/UX implementation to performance optimization, helping shape the future of decentralized communication. - Proven experience with React/Preact and modern JavaScript/TypeScript in production-scale applications. - Strong competency in state management (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar). - Ability to write modular, maintainable, and well tested code. - Solid skillset in testing & debugging complex frontend applications. - Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems. - Comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team; good communication skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with desktop application development (Electron, Tauri, or similar runtimes). - Familiarity with video/audio APIs (WebRTC, media streams) and real-time communication. - Demonstrated ability to optimize UI performance: rendering, memory management. - Experience building cross platform applications (macOS, Windows, Linux, etc). - Bonus: Past contributions to OSS projects, especially in P2P or decentralized tech. • Join Holepunch to develop applications for a pioneering peer-to-peer (P2P) platform. • Utilize a custom JS runtime for peer-to-peer usage enhancing the Keet Mobile experience. • Implement UI logic using 100% React Native for flexible and fast iterations.

• Ownership of product deliverables from identification through to resolution and testing, ensuring completion. • Establish clear definitions of product features with explicit labels for stable/guaranteed vs. experimental functionality. • Establish and maintain sprint cadence driving predictable delivery. • Create actionable roadmaps that prioritize high-impact work. • Provide regular, transparent updates on product status, risks, and timeline changes to all stakeholders. • Manage cross-team dependencies. • Facilitate alignment between development, QA, product, and business stakeholders on goals and priorities. • Build debugging and error reporting systems that turn user reports into actionable engineering data. • Drive systematic tooling and processes that solve classes of problems. • Implement processes that ensure platform changes work with dependent products.
