Role Description The Director, Corporate & Foundation Engagement is a hybrid fundraiser and relationship manager responsible for growing Cure Blindness Project's institutional revenue base and deepening engagement across our corporate and foundation portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of external relationship-building and internal pipeline management. The Director must be equally capable of developing strategy and executing against it and should be comfortable operating independently with funders. The Director leads the organization's corporate engagement strategy end-to-end, from prospecting and cultivation through stewardship and renewal, and owns a defined portfolio of select foundation relationships. Across the full institutional partnerships portfolio, the Director works on prospect research and proposal development, executing against strategy in partnership with the Senior Director, Institutional Partnerships. Essential Job Functions - Corporate Partnership Stewardship and Cultivation: - Serve as primary relationship lead for the full corporate portfolio, with accountability for revenue outcomes and partner satisfaction. - Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate partners, advancing relationships from initial engagement through multi-year commitment and renewal. - Execute and continuously refine strategy for corporate account management, including pursuit of new opportunities, cultivation of existing relationships, and driving engagement to achieve revenue goals. - Manage Gifts in Kind relationships in coordination with internal program and procurement teams. - Monitor corporate revenue progress against goals, flag potential shortfalls, and support course corrections as needed. - Communicate regularly with program teams to align partnership activity with programmatic priorities. - Develop partner-facing stewardship communications and collaborate with the communications team on assets for partners. - Design creative, tailored partnership activations that meet corporate partner goals while staying within what Cure Blindness Project can realistically and equitably deliver. - Prospect Research and Proposal Development: - Lead proposal development for corporate funders and contribute as a core writer on complex foundation proposals, bringing strategic framing and compelling narrative to the work. - Lead prospect research across the full institutional portfolio in alignment with strategy set by the Senior Director, integrating findings into the partnership pipeline, and bringing forward recommendations on corporate prospects and select foundation opportunities. - Foundation Support: - Own cultivation and stewardship for a defined portfolio of select foundation partners as capacity allows. - Support the Senior Director on major, complex foundation relationships, contributing to donor briefings, engagement materials, and meeting preparation. - Serve as a key internal connector, bridging fundraising execution and relationship strategy across the institutional portfolio. Qualifications - Must have at least 10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, institutional partnerships, or business development. - Ability to both develop and execute a strategy for prospecting, engaging, and deepening partnerships, demonstrating equal strength in big-picture thinking and operational follow-through. - Comfort working across foundation and corporate giving contexts. - Demonstrated experience developing and managing a portfolio of partnerships with corporations and foundations with accountability for revenue outcomes. - Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, including proposal development, large and small group presentations, and group facilitation. - Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of tracking multiple projects, relationships, opportunities and stewardship touchpoints simultaneously. - Highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working with senior leadership and cross-functional colleagues. - Results-oriented, closer, strategic thinker, highly responsive, proactive, timely, accurate and thorough in follow through. - Demonstrated experience building, leading, and developing a high-performing team, setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and supporting ongoing growth and development. - Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time. - Flexibility to adjust and contribute to continually evolving work situations and changing priorities. - Excellent computer skills and technical aptitude, proficient with MS Office, Asana (and other cloud-based software), and CRMs. - Committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion. - Familiarity with global health/development context is a plus. Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the financial health and sustainability of the organization. This role partners closely with the CEO and executive team to drive growth strategies, manage risk, and ensure financial systems and practices support both short-term execution and long-term vision. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in international nonprofit finance, including managing restricted and unrestricted funding, and is a collaborative, empowering leader. Essential Job Functions - Strategic Financial Leadership - Develop and execute financial strategies that support organizational growth and impact. - Proactively identify risks and suggest mitigation options. - Advise the CEO, executive leadership team, and Board on financial planning, forecasting, and risk management. - Lead scenario planning and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making. - Lead annual planning and budgeting process with regular updates throughout the year. - Financial Management & Compliance - Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and financial compliance across global operations. - Lead relationships with audit firms, ensuring timely completion of audit, 990 reporting, and inputs to annual report. - Ensure accurate and timely reporting of restricted and unrestricted funds. - Proactively manage cash flow to ensure sufficient fund availability to support programs and internal operation continuity. - Consolidate financials from multiple jurisdictions with different accounting standards. - Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies aligned with international standards. - Lead all Treasury activities including management of bank accounts, investment portfolio, and relationships. - Support fundraising with financial due diligence, budgets for proposals, donor reporting, and best practices for financial stewardship and tracking. - Lead the organization in developing and maintaining the organization’s indirect cost rate (ICR) methodology. - Ensure timely reporting, forecasting, and related financial updates are available for the team, Board members, or donors. - Systems & Efficiency - Leverage financial systems to continually improve operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. - Lead the implementation and optimization of financial technologies; familiarity with Sage Intacct is a strong plus. - Collaborate with IT and operations to integrate finance with broader organizational systems. - Management and Organizational Leadership - Contribute to organizational strategy as a member of Cure Blindness Project’s leadership team. - Lead and mentor a global finance team of 9 direct and indirect reports. - Establish clear expectations to motivate and assess team effectiveness. - Develop local finance capacity and ensure consistent policies globally. - Serve as primary liaison to Board of Directors Finance, Audit, and Investment committee. - Foster a positive, inclusive culture that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and innovation. - Build capacity across departments to understand and manage financial resources effectively. Role Description The Chief Development Officer (CDO) will serve as a member of the executive leadership team and will provide leadership, strategy, and management for all components of the organization's fundraising and revenue generation. Cure Blindness Project is looking for a leader who has a vision to build upon current strengths and relationships, embrace new opportunities and thinking, and lead our organization in designing and executing a clear, multi-year plan to sustain and grow our revenue base of $40M. The ideal candidate will bring deep acquisition and stewardship experience, show a proven commitment to team development, and exhibit the collaborative nature to work closely with the CEO, other functional leaders, and the Board of Directors to bring their vision to life. Essential Job Functions - Development Portfolio Management - Develop and oversee annual Development goals, priorities, and key deliverables that support the overall organizational plans. - In collaboration with Finance, build the annual budget and track results on an ongoing basis to assess and forecast organizational revenue expectations. - Assess current strengths and opportunities of Cure Blindness Project fundraising portfolio. - Develop a comprehensive, data-driven fundraising plan that continues to steward and grow a strong base of individual donors and build plans to support additional expansion in areas of legacy giving, institutional giving, corporate partnerships, or other avenues as identified. - Personally manage a portfolio of approximately 125-150 HNWI donors and support others managing portfolios of major donors. - Track portfolio activity, key metrics, communication, and progress. - Create a comprehensive cultivation and solicitation plan for donors and prospects in the portfolios and execute strategies that fulfill donors’ goals and increase giving. - Provide guidance and support to development personnel, other senior leaders, or Board members to support their effective stewardship of donors and potential donors. - Oversee grants acquisition and grants management, including establishing best-in-class practices for grants research, application, and subsequent reporting. - Collaborate with staff, board, and volunteers to align prospect interests to Cure Blindness Project's highest priority needs. - Work with leadership and program staff to develop fundraising strategies around emerging organizational projects and priorities. - Collaborate with CMO and marketing team to create compelling correspondence, including solicitations, cultivation pieces, proposals, reports, and other stewardship materials, to engage high-value donors and prospects. - Serve as a key liaison to the Board of Directors (along with CEO) for regular updates and to leverage Board networks; Lead the Strategic Development committee of the Board. - Management and Organizational Leadership - Contribute to organizational strategy as a member of Cure Blindness Project’s leadership team, including the development of organization-wide and department annual goals, strategies, and desired outcomes, along with the development of corresponding budgets. - Lead and develop a team of 8 staff members. - Ensure each team member has a clear understanding of their role scope and deliverables. - Establish clear expectations to motivate and assess team effectiveness. - Provide guidance, feedback, coaching, and mentoring to enable team members to continually develop and improve their effectiveness while also building a collaborative, motivated team. - Manage Development team staffing and hiring processes. - Oversee Development systems, infrastructure, and processes (CRM, prospect research, gift processing). Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred. - Minimum of fifteen years’ experience in fundraising, including increasing levels of leadership in portfolio and team management and executing against multi-year plans. - Minimum of 10 years managing and developing a team of fundraising professionals. - Proven track record of raising funds from diverse sources, including major gifts from individuals, foundations, corporations, and other grant organizations. - Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time; this includes donor stewardship and solicitation, event planning, grant writing, contracts management, and database management. - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships across a variety of stakeholders with different communication styles and needs. - Proven commitment to collaboration and productive relationship building across diverse groups of people and perspectives. - Familiarity with donor tracking systems, preferably a detailed knowledge of Salesforce and how to leverage data for clear strategic prioritization. - Experience working in a global health iNGO, ideally with familiarity with eye health. - Experience working with a Board of Directors on strategy and supporting stewardship and acquisition efforts. - A sense of discretion and a high degree of professionalism is required, including the ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information. - Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. - Detail-oriented and able to efficiently prioritize tasks and demonstrate follow-through. - Flexibility to adjust and contribute to continually evolving work situations and changing priorities. - Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% when needed for donor interactions. - Willingness and ability to work across multiple time zones, including participating in morning and evening calls. - Excellent computer skills and technical aptitude, proficient with MS Office and ideally Salesforce. - Committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
