Role Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our civil litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career attorneys to build practical legal skills, manage their own cases, and work with opposing counsel to negotiate resolutions. You’ll also gain exposure to court proceedings as part of your daily work in a supportive, team-oriented environment. - Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal documents - Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve cases - Communicate with courts, clients, and internal teams - Review cases for legal accuracy and compliance - Maintain accurate case updates in internal systems - Attend court hearings via Zoom as needed - Manage assigned caseloads and meet deadlines - Work closely with clerks and staff to move cases forward Qualifications - Strong communication (written and verbal) skills - Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven - Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - Professional and confident when resolving issues - Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset - Willingness to learn and grow Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school - Active Florida Bar license (or pending results) - Interest in civil litigation preferred - Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel) - Case management system experience is a plus - Background check, drug screen, soft credit check, and fingerprinting required Benefits - Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance - Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) - Eight paid holidays - Newly built office near major highways - Opportunity to grow consumer service and account management skills - Career growth opportunities within the firm Company Description Hayt, Hayt & Landau, P.L.
