• Sitting with product and client stakeholders to understand the real problem, then helping shape it into something concrete that can actually be built. • Owning features end to end, from early scoping and design through to building, testing and getting them live. • Using AI coding agents to move fast, while staying firmly in control of the quality, structure and long-term health of the code. • Building and integrating LLMs into features, refining the prompts, evaluations and guardrails that make AI-assisted features behave reliably in production. • Working against a defined data model and a clear contract, and flagging early when something doesn’t add up rather than building the wrong thing quickly. • Feeding what you learn back to the product and client teams, so each iteration is sharper than the last.

• Building and improving customer-facing features across a large, established PHP/Symfony web application backed by MySQL • Developing new UI components and views in React/TypeScript • Exposing new data and reporting through portal pages, reporting views, and API layers • Integrating third-party services via their APIs and SDKs, and maintaining clean abstraction layers • Enhancing and extending the existing PHP API layer to support new platform features • Full-stack delivery across backend and frontend, picking up whatever the backlog needs

• Helping migrate a self-managed Kubernetes cluster onto Amazon EKS. • Managing and improving AWS infrastructure defined in Terraform. • Supporting the migration of self-hosted Kafka onto Amazon managed services. • Ensuring platform stability, observability, and security during changes. • Collaborating closely with a senior internal team and taking initiative on tasks. • Documenting work for team maintenance.

• Completing migration of last legacy MySQL data to Databricks platform • Building and maintaining data pipelines using Databricks, Fivetran, DBT, and Airflow • Handling data engineering tasks: ingestion, reliability, performance • Assisting in cleanly phasing out legacy systems • Collaborating with senior team, picking up tasks independently

• Take ownership of complex backend features using Node.js and TypeScript. • Act as a solution architect within your domain, ensuring the platform remains scalable and secure. • Work closely with a hybrid team of senior engineers and augmented international teams. • Maintain high-velocity output to meet a demanding and fast-paced product roadmap.
