Role Description To ensure the successful financial delivery and completion of projects, protecting the exposure of the Company to financial risks, together with adherence of the commercial procedures of the Business. You will be responsible for the commercial management of a variety of sized projects, offering commercial expertise for both our main contracts and small works divisions, with current project values varying between £100k and £4m. What you will be doing: - Agreement of interim payment amounts with clients, monitoring when payments notices are due/received/outstanding. - Final Account Negotiations. - Preparing project budgets in conjunction with the Sales team and/or Project Manager as and when required. - Monitoring budgets against costs and projections on a monthly basis and reporting upline on a monthly basis. - Assisting with troublesome subcontractor final accounts. - Ensuring that we fulfil all our contractual obligations. - Working with Project team and Directors regarding all commercial matters (variations, delays etc.) and ensuring that they are identified and recorded. - Assist Project Manager and Directors in the preparation of contractual notices. - Attend site visits to monitor for variations and quality matters if required to suit Client needs, whilst ensuring site records are produced and are accurate. - Attendance at client meetings as and when needed. - In conjunction with our Sales team, tender stage terms and conditions review and input. - Maintain good relationships with clients, consultants and colleagues. - Mentoring of junior team members where required. Qualifications - Experience of working in a similar commercial role within the fire protection sector or building services industry (essential). - Good base knowledge of standard forms of contract (essential). - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to the Fire Engineering industry is desirable (essential). - Proficient in cost control techniques and software applications (essential). - Awareness of dispute resolution procedures and experience of managing disputes (essential). - Ability to produce accurate monthly cost and value reports (essential). - Ability to negotiate with clients/sub-contractors (essential). - Experience of working on final accounts (essential). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (essential). - Strong attention to detail and accuracy (essential). - Effective communication and negotiation skills (essential). - Ability to work independently and as part of a team (essential). - IT/Software specific experience e.g. MS Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc (essential). - Holds a degree in Quantity Surveying or currently working towards a degree (desirable but not essential). - Knowledge of fire industry standards (desirable but not essential). PPM Planner

Role Description You will be responsible for managing the generation and issuance of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) work orders, supporting delivery, and managing asset status and condition in our database. You will be working closely with our Engineering teams to improve report quality, asset data, and completion times. What you will be doing: - Planning Service remedial works with direct labour or sub-contractor in line with customer SLA’s. - Ordering of parts, access equipment, plant & tools. - Booking-In and issuing of RAMS and Permits, where required. - Updating customers portals and planners, ensuring completion within strict SLA’s including jeopardy management. - Processing all reactive paperwork from holding pots and moving completed job folders to finance team. - Liaising efficiently with Customers, Service Engineers and the wider H&K Team. - Processing of completion paperwork and workflow to finance. - Raising & processing supplier & subcontractor purchase orders. - Producing Monthly performance reports and attending client calls/supporting meetings. - Processing all PPM paperwork from holding pots and moving to finance team if required and filling in site folders. - Actioning all Customer queries and requests in a timely manner, escalating as required. Qualifications - Experience in a similar role ideally within the sprinkler industry but construction/engineering/FM industry experience will also be considered. - Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to liaise with customers and stakeholders (essential). - Experience of raising and processing subcontractor purchase orders (essential). - Able to effectively manage time, organise and prioritise to meet demands (essential). - Strong IT skills with experience of using database/portal systems (essential).
