Role Description As a Senior Full Stack Developer at GreenChoice, you will own the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions across our user-facing applications and backend systems. You will work across the stack, building web and mobile experiences with React.js and React Native, and designing the APIs, services, and data pipelines that sit behind them with Node.js and modern databases. Beyond shipping features, you will set technical direction. You will lead architectural decisions, raise the engineering bar through code review and mentorship, and help shape how the team builds. This role suits someone who has spent years across the full stack, has strong opinions grounded in experience, and wants real influence over the product and the roadmap in a fast-paced, agile environment. Key Responsibilities - Architecture and Technical Leadership: - Lead the design of full stack features, from data model to user interface, and make the trade-off calls that keep systems scalable, secure, and maintainable. - Drive architectural decisions and document them so the rest of the team can build on them. - Identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and reliability gaps, then plan and execute the work to address them. - Frontend Development: - Build and maintain web applications with React.js and mobile applications with React Native and Expo. - Translate Figma designs into high-quality, pixel-accurate interfaces. - Set patterns for responsive design, state management, and cross-platform consistency that the team can reuse. - Backend Development: - Design, implement, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express. - Model, query, and optimize data across relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis). - Own data integrity, performance, and scalability across services. - Collaboration and Mentorship: - Partner with product, design, data, and infrastructure teams to scope and deliver features end to end. - Mentor mid-level and junior engineers through code review, pairing, and design discussions. - Help define engineering standards, testing practices, and delivery processes. - Quality and Maintenance: - Write unit and integration tests and hold the team to a high standard for coverage and stability. - Keep code clean, well-documented, and reusable. - Debug, optimize, and monitor performance across the stack. Qualifications - 4-6 years of full stack development experience, including time owning features or systems end to end. - Demonstrated experience leading technical design and mentoring other engineers. - Strong proficiency in: - Frontend: React.js, React Native with Expo, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 - Backend: Node.js (Express or similar), REST and GraphQL APIs - Databases: SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB or Redis) - Strong experience implementing Figma designs accurately. - Proficiency with Git and collaborative tools (Asana, Slack, code versioning workflows). - Solid grasp of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility. - Experience with state management tools (Redux, Context API). - Comfortable working independently in a startup environment and taking full ownership of outcomes. Nice to Have - Experience with TypeScript. - Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, React Testing Library). - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). - Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. - Experience with search and indexing systems (Elasticsearch, OpenSearch). - An interest in sustainability, food systems, or health tech. Benefits - Salary: $20000-$30000 USD per year (based on location & experience). - Equity options in a growing early-stage startup. - Flexible working hours and remote work opportunities. - Mission-driven team with a collaborative and inclusive culture. - A chance to have a real-world impact on how people eat and live healthier, more sustainable lives.

You will work primarily in Node.js, building REST and GraphQL APIs and modeling data across relational and NoSQL databases that hold information on more than a million food products. You will work closely with product, data, and front end teams to deliver services that are reliable, performant, and secure at scale. This role is for someone who enjoys data modeling, API design, and the systems work behind a product, and who wants to own backend features from design through production. Key Responsibilities - Backend Development: - Design, implement, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Express. - Model, query, and optimize data across relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis). - Ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability across services. - Build and maintain services and data flows that support the product's scoring and personalization features. - Integration and Collaboration: - Work with front end engineers to define clear API contracts and ensure smooth data flow into applications. - Collaborate with the data team on pipelines, storage, and query performance. - Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architectural decisions. - Quality and Maintenance: - Write unit and integration tests to keep services stable. - Keep code clean, well-documented, and reusable. - Debug, optimize, and monitor service performance, reliability, and security. Role Description As a Front End Engineer at GreenChoice, you will both design and build the web and mobile experiences our users interact with every day. This is a dual role. You will create the designs yourself, in Figma, and then bring them to life in React.js and React Native with Expo. You own the experience end to end, from the first wireframe to the shipped, responsive interface. We are not looking for someone who only implements other people's mockups. You will be the person deciding how a feature should look and behave: - Mapping the user flow - Designing the screens - Prototyping the interactions - Writing the code that makes it real This role suits someone who is equally comfortable in a design file and a code editor, cares deeply about the details of the user experience, and wants full ownership of front end features from concept through production. Qualifications - 3 to 5 years of experience, with a track record of both designing and building front end interfaces. - Strong design ability: you can create your own designs in Figma (wireframes, mockups, prototypes), not just implement someone else's. - A real grasp of UI/UX fundamentals: usability, visual hierarchy, typography, color, spacing, and interaction patterns. - A portfolio or examples of work that show both the design and the built result. - Strong proficiency in: - React.js - React Native with Expo - JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 - Experience with state management tools (Redux, Context API). - Solid understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility. - Proficiency with Git and collaborative tools (Asana, Slack, code versioning workflows). - Comfortable consuming and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs. - Able to work independently in a startup environment and own features end to end, from design to deployment. Requirements - Experience with TypeScript. - Familiarity with front end testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library). - Experience optimizing performance for mobile and low-bandwidth conditions. - Experience building or maintaining a design system or component library. - Familiarity with user research, usability testing, or analytics to inform design choices. - A formal background or training in design (visual, interaction, or product design). - An interest in sustainability, food systems, or health tech. Benefits - Salary: $15000-$20000 USD per year (based on location & experience). - Equity options in a growing early-stage startup. - Flexible working hours and remote work opportunities. - Mission-driven team with a collaborative and inclusive culture. - A chance to have a real-world impact on how people eat and live healthier, more sustainable lives.

Role Description We're looking for a creative, camera-ready content intern who is passionate about food health, nutrition transparency, and making science-backed information go viral. You'll own GreenChoice's TikTok and Instagram Reels presence — concepting, filming, editing, and posting content that educates and engages consumers on what's really in their food. There's a proven content formula in this space and we want someone who can run with it and grow beyond it! Accounts like @oasis.app have built massive audiences by revealing the truth behind everyday products using real data and science. GreenChoice has the same raw ingredients — health scores, ingredient safety data, processing ratings, and sustainability metrics on over 1 million food products — but we need a creator who can turn that data into scroll-stopping short-form content. This isn't about posting pretty food photos. It's about making food health data relevant, compelling, surprising, and shareable — the kind of content that makes someone stop mid-scroll, rethink what's in their cart, and send the video to a friend. If you're the person your friends already come to for food/health content recommendations, if you've studied what makes a Reel or TikTok blow up, and if you're comfortable being the face and voice of a brand on camera — this role is for you. What You'll Do - Content Creation: - Concept, script, film, and edit short-form video content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) on a consistent publishing schedule. - Be on camera — you'll be the face and voice of GreenChoice's consumer content. - Turn GreenChoice's food health data, scores, and ingredient insights into engaging, shareable content (think: "We scored every protein bar at Target — here's what we found"). - Study and adapt proven content formats from top creators in the food health and transparency space. - Stay on top of trends, sounds, and formats — and move fast to ride them with relevant GreenChoice content. - Growth & Distribution: - Own the content calendar and posting cadence for TikTok and Instagram. - Track performance metrics (views, engagement, shares, saves) and iterate based on what's working. - Engage with comments and build community around food health and transparency. - Cross-post and repurpose content across platforms. - Collaboration: - Work directly with the Founder & CEO to align content with brand messaging and company priorities. - Surface content ideas from GreenChoice's data — new scores, surprising findings, trending food topics. - Help shape GreenChoice's consumer brand voice for social media. Qualifications - Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent grad) — communications, marketing, film, nutrition, public health, or related field. - You already create content or have a strong personal understanding of what works on TikTok and Instagram Reels — you can point to accounts you admire and explain why their content performs. - Comfortable and natural on camera — you don't need to be a polished influencer, but you need to be engaging, authentic, and willing to put your face out there. - Strong video editing skills — you can shoot and edit on your phone (CapCut, InShot, or similar) and turn around content quickly. - Genuinely interested in food health, nutrition, ingredient transparency, or sustainability — this passion should come through on camera. - Creative and self-directed — you pitch ideas, not just execute assignments. - Reliable and consistent — building an audience requires showing up regularly, not just when inspiration strikes. - Bonus: existing personal following or content portfolio in the food/health/wellness space. Benefits - $500/month stipend to support your work. - For-credit internship: Students are responsible for coordinating credit approval with their university — GreenChoice will sign required agreements and provide evaluations. - A real content portfolio — not class projects, but published content for an established brand with a national footprint. - Direct mentorship from the Founder & CEO of a venture-backed, mission-driven company. - Access to a goldmine of content material — health scores, ingredient data, and sustainability metrics on over 1 million food products. - Flexible schedule built around your classes. - The chance to build an audience around something that actually matters — helping people understand what's in their food.
