Role Description Gear Inc. seeking a Financial Auditor to play a crucial role in safeguarding our financial integrity and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The financial auditor will conduct comprehensive financial audits, analyze financial data, and identify areas for improvement. - Conduct comprehensive financial audits and assess internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information; - Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks, identifying areas for improvement; - Ensure compliance with regulations and accounting standards; - Prepare audit reports and communicate observations to stakeholders, summarizing the findings of the audit and providing recommendations for improvement; - Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes; - Share your knowledge and expertise with colleagues and management to promote a culture of continuous learning and development. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting, or related field; - At least 3-5 internal audit work experience preferably with big 4 audit experience; - Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, CIA) would be preferred; - Proficiency in using auditing software and tools (e.g., ACL, IDEA); - Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS); - An analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills; - Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills; - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; - Excellent report-writing and communication skills; - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Role Description - Manage full sets of accounts (AR, AP, GL) - Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings - Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts - Monitor budget variances and implement corrective actions when necessary - Reconcile banks, inter-co, accounts payable and receivable - Ensure timely payments and maintenance of fixed assets register - Compute taxes and prepare tax returns - Report on the company's financial health and liquidity - Communicate with accounts team and outsource vendor in other countries - Comply with financial policies and regulations - Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and guidelines - Any other tasks that may be delegated from time to time Qualifications - Preferably ACCA/CIMA/CPA & MIA members, with at least 5 years experience - Good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures - Hands-on experience with accounting software Xero is an advantage - Proficiency in Accounting Software, Google Suite - Good communication skills - Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin languages preferred - Good to have: regional accounting experience - Quick to adapt and flexible, open to learning new skills, a team player who can also be independent when required - Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills - Able to work remotely
