Title: Aviation Data Acquisition Analyst Location: Adelaide - Brisbane Australia Full time Hybrid Job Description: The Opportunity If you like working with Maps, spatial data and enjoy a fast-paced role working with high volume of data, then this might be the perfect opportunity for you. Due to staff movements, we have a rare opening for an Aviation Data Acquisition Analyst to help our project teams deliver high‑quality survey data for our client's assets. The data is captured using advanced lidar scanning techniques and high-quality imagery. The purpose of this role is to ensure that the project's data acquisition activities are planned, captured, and delivered to client specifications. A summary of the role activities is listed below: Assigning acquisition parameters (before capture): - Create safe, efficient and accurate flight plans that fit projects specs, ensuring the plans cover area of interests - Create aviation charts for the field crew to operate in controlled airspaces - Prescribe and confirm settings of survey equipment that meet project specifications - Provide full work instructions package necessary for capture acitivities to field crew across our multiple sensors and projects During capture: - Monitor data capture activities and work with the field crew remotely as required to ensure it meets client requirements After capture: - Review data outputs from our surveys in GIS software - Ensuring data is captured correctly to clients' specifications - QA and QC To ensure we meet client expectations, this role will require a few hours (1 - 3hrs or so) of weekend work every couple of weeks. Contract Specialist, Procurement

Role Description The Contract Specialist will act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating supplier contracts or subcontracts. This includes handling standard supplier contracts in the field of 3rd party personnel, equipment, MRO, etc., as well as managing subcontractor agreements. The Contract Specialist will ensure that contractual risks are identified, properly evaluated, and mitigated. - Draft, review and negotiate supplier contracts (including sub-contracts) in line with templates provided by Legal and Fugro policies. - Act as a key member of the Supply Chain (Procurement) team, participate in commercial and legal discussions with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure that contractual risks are identified, properly evaluated, and mitigated. - Incorporate contract-flow down clauses from the client contract into the subcontract, in alignment with the Legal team. - Ensure proper procurement contract management, comprising negotiating the terms and conditions of contracts. - Promote the principles of good procurement and contract management practice throughout the company. - Responsible for preparation/review of all relevant contractual correspondence exchanged during project execution to and from the suppliers, subcontractors, and authorities. - Monitor all contract deliverables and the contract performance as well as identify risks and opportunities. Support handling of supplier claims. - Assumes overall responsibility for all contractual and commercial issues related to the management of change, including ensuring claims are issued within the timeframes set out in the contract. - Works closely with internal stakeholders: Supply Chain (Procurement), Finance, Legal, Insurance, Fleet Services, project managers, operations managers and various business stakeholders. So you can be sure your assets or infrastructure is designed, built, and operated safely and sustainably. While deployed in the field, the airborne sensor operator is responsible for operating airborne remote sensors or cameras to collect data. In addition, the operator is responsible for setting up ground-based GPS stations and downloading and shipping data and film. While in the office, the operator may be responsible for QCing data or other duties as assigned. This role can function fully remotely with the expectation of consistent, rotational travel schedules. Coordinate with the Aviation Manager to determine if re-flights are required. - Operate computer-managed flight navigation systems, GPS Geodetic base stations, and any Fugro Geospatial Inc. film cameras, lidar sensors, or digital cameras. - Apply specialized knowledge in using industry and proprietary software to accomplish in-office data processing and quality control. - May be assigned or responsible for updating Quality Management procedures on aerial sensor operation. - Remain current on changes within the industry through publications, periodicals, technical meetings conference attendance, and continuing education. - Project a professional appearance and cooperative attitude, and always maintain high ethical standards of confidentiality in representing the company to ensure a professional representation. - Comply and promote the requirements of the company's documented quality system. - Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: - Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions. - High School Diploma is required, two years of college/technical training or equivalent experience preferred. - BS degree in earth sciences or a technology specialty desired. - Have a fundamental knowledge of computer operations and the aptitude to operate high-tech sensors during flight as well as data processing software in the office or hotel room. - Be willing to travel up to extensively, for long periods, with minimal notice. - Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to travel internationally (ability to acquire a passport or visa). - The ability to work in light aircraft for an extended duration. - The ability to read and understand maps. - The ability to efficiently utilize accepted tools of the trade, i.e., GPS receivers, sensors, computers, computer screens, and keyboards. Job Purpose We are building the Common Data Backbone (CDB)—Fugro’s strategic data platform, which enables discovery, governance, and integration across our global geospatial data ecosystem. The CDB connects multiple cloud services and end-user applications through Apache Kafka, serving as the integration solution within the CDB for event orchestration and integration services. To further develop and deploy our CDB, we want to strengthen the team with an experienced Kafka DevOps Engineer who will expand and mature the Kafka infrastructure on AWS. This role focuses on secure cluster setup, lifecycle management, performance tuning, Dev-Ops and reliability engineering to ensure Kafka runs at enterprise-grade standards. Key Responsibilities •Design, deploy, and maintain secure, highly available Kafka clusters in AWS (MSK or self-managed). •Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and proactive scaling. •Automate infrastructure and configuration using Terraform and GitOps principles. •Implement observability: metrics, Grafana dashboards, CloudWatch alarms. •Develop runbooks for incident response, disaster recovery, and rolling upgrades. •Ensure compliance with security and audit requirements (ISO27001). •Collaborate with development teams to provide Kafka best practices for .NET microservices and Databricks streaming jobs. •Conduct resilience testing and maintain documented RPO/RTO strategies. •Drive continuous improvement in cost optimization, reliability, and operational maturity. Required Skills & Experience •5-6 years in DevOps/SRE roles, with 4 years hands-on Kafka operations at scale. •Strong knowledge of Kafka internals: partitions, replication, ISR, controller quorum, KRaft. •Expertise in AWS services: VPC, EC2, MSK, IAM, Secrets Manager, networking. •Proven experience with TLS/mTLS, SASL/SCRAM, ACLs, and secure cluster design.
