About the role: - This role is a New York City based HYBRID position. Candidates must be located in NYC, and willing to come into the office on a hybrid basis, three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).* We are currently looking for a Senior Director, Content Strategy & Acquisition, to take the lead on Fubo's relationships with its domestic English-language broadcast and cable network partners, as well as to lead deal negotiations involving many of those partners. This person must have a strong knowledge of the pay TV content acquisition/distribution ecosystem, and have experience managing relationships and leading deals in the media space. They must also have strong experience in the OTT space. This role requires a hands-on engineer who is comfortable operating across both software delivery and system reliability. The Video Input/Output Systems team manages all aspects of linear video, including ingest, storage, distribution, advertising, scheduling, and client playback at scale. This is an exciting opportunity for a software engineer to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, designing efficient systems to meet key business needs. You will work closely with our Streaming Media Operations (Acquisition, Encoding, Operations), Advertising Engineering, Platform, Product Management, Players, Content Distribution, and Sales teams to develop integrated solutions. • Operations Support for our MVPD-based LIVE and VOD ABR video encoding and packaging systems • Responsible for making sure our acquisition and encoding infrastructure is always in a healthy state • Managing live and exclusive content events • Respond to and troubleshoot missing incoming ad signals • Providing break/fix and analysis throughout our video workflow • Working with internal/external teams to mitigate and resolve any issues related to video • Perform routine maintenance (sometimes overnight)
