Role Description As a Triage RN, you will rapidly assess and prioritize patients' healthcare needs, directing them to the appropriate level of care. Every day you will conduct patient interviews, evaluate symptoms, perform initial assessments, and apply critical thinking to determine urgency and disposition. You will also provide advice, educate, and coordinate care. To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional critical thinking, rapid assessment abilities, and strong communication, managing priorities effectively under pressure to ensure timely and appropriate patient attention. The Connection Center RN is responsible for providing telephonic clinical assessment, triage, nursing advice, and health education to a variety of patients. Services are provided remotely, and will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Work is conducted in accordance with the organization policies, applicable regulatory requirements and scope of practice for the nursing profession in which the state license is held. - Responsible for triaging incoming calls from patients, assessing needs, giving appropriate clinical dispositions based on established protocols. - Facilitates access to primary care providers, specialists, healthcare facilities and community resources. - Provides education to patients regarding immediate care advice, chronic disease management, and preventative healthcare maintenance. - Adapts communication style to patients representing diverse personal, professional, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. - Ability to multi-task utilizing critical thinking, verbal and listening communication skills while performing data entry. - Utilizes decision support tools and electronic health record (EMR) to document all information which incorporates excellent computer and typing skills and the ability to navigate multiple applications concurrently. - Documents all encounters according to departmental standards for medical, legal and statistical purposes. - Participates in quality improvement outcomes measurement process, data collection and analysis. - Meets minimum established quality and productivity standards. - Mentors and provides leadership to support staff. - Provides lab and diagnostic test results to patients after provider review. Qualifications - Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. - Three years clinical RN experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting, upon hire. - Registered Nurse: WA DOH license. Requirements - Bachelors Of Nursing, upon hire. - Previous telephone triage/call center RN experience.

Every day you will accurately translate patients’ medical records into standardized codes for diagnoses and treatments. Using your expertise and training, you will ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards. To be successful in this role, you must combine accuracy and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of coding standards and healthcare regulations. Clear communication with providers and staff, along with efficient management of records, ensures claims are processed correctly and on time. - Abstracts, assigns and sequences ICD-10-CM/CPT/HCPCS codes to diagnoses and procedures as supported by documentation. Assures the final diagnoses and operative procedures as stated by the physician are valid and coded to the highest level of specificity. Abstracts all necessary information from documentation to identify secondary complications and co-morbid conditions. - Meets FMG Production standards for coding procedures. - Meets FMG Quality standards per the Coding Audit and Monitoring process. - Follows all Coding department policies and procedures. - Understands and applies changes in the external regulatory environment, third party reimbursement agencies, and stays current with coding updates ensuring clean claims are submitted for adjudication. - Performs a comprehensive review of the documentation to assure the presence of all component parts such as: patient and record identification, signatures and dates where required and other necessary data. Job Requirements Education/ Work Experience: Two years of coding experience using CPT and ICD-10-CM or equivalency. ***Surgery coding experience strongly preferred. Licensure/Certifications: Certified Professional Coder Apprentice (CPC-A), (CPC) (AAPC) or Certified Coding Associate (CCA), (CCS, CCS-P) (AHIMA) required.
