• Contribute to the design and coding of the AI Physicist, a closed-loop research engine, including the development of tools to support hypotheses generation, peer review, physics based simulations, validation against experimental data and self-revision, among other things. • Write safe, testable code and set up automated unit tests to catch errors and apply lessons from recent research findings. • Explore and integrate SOTA tools into existing platforms to enhance model capabilities. These tools can provide advanced analysis and insights, furthering the understanding of theoretical physics. • Add self-improvement features that pass automated checks before deployment. • Track runtime metrics and suggest optimizations that keep the project efficient and sustainable. • Develop custom tech solutions tailored to the specific needs of researchers. This may include developing algorithms, data analysis tools, or other software to accelerate research in specific areas of theoretical physics. • Apply knowledge of product development principles and practices to ensure that the tools developed are useful and effective for theoretical physicists worldwide. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful delivery.

• Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy targeting multi-million dollar commitments from diverse funding sources. • Build a portfolio approach balancing major gifts, foundation grants, government funding, and innovative financing mechanisms. • Create compelling narratives that position FirstPrinciples as the highest-impact funding recipient in the future of science. • Design metrics and accountability frameworks that demonstrate tangible progress toward scientific breakthroughs. • Identify, cultivate and build deep long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, science foundations, research institutions, philanthropists, government funding agencies and institutional donors. • Lead and organize exclusive donor engagement initiatives, exclusive funder events, and private donor roundtables. • Develop impact reports showing how donor contributions directly accelerate specific scientific discoveries. • Identify and secure large-scale, multi-year grants from major science foundations (e.g., Simons Foundation, Kavli Foundation, Wellcome Trust, Gates Foundation, etc.). • Navigate complex government funding mechanisms (NSF, DARPA, NSERC, ERC, Horizon Europe) to access research grants. • Structure and negotiate complex agreements that align donor incentives with FirstPrinciples’ mission to accelerate scientific discovery. • Expand FirstPrinciples' access to government research funding, impact-driven venture funding, and global science funding programs. • Structure and negotiate funding agreements and deal structures with sophisticated funders. • Manage due diligence processes with new funders and foundation partners. • Create funding syndicates that bring together multiple funders around shared scientific missions. • Over time, build and lead a world-class fundraising team, including grant writers, donor relations managers, and institutional fundraising specialists. • Work closely with FirstPrinciples’ leadership team to align funding strategies with overall growth objectives. • Design scalable fundraising processes, CRM systems, and funder engagement strategies. • Foster a culture of urgency, excellence, and scientific passion within the development team

• Identify and develop partnerships with cloud providers, compute platforms, AI research labs, and infrastructure companies across North America, Europe, and Asia, to work with and support FirstPrinciples in the form of compute credits, tooling, and technical collaboration. • Secure in-kind support such as GPU compute, cloud credits, data infrastructure, and engineering collaboration. • Build relationships with companies across the AI, cloud, developer tooling, and research infrastructure ecosystem. • Work closely with internal technical teams to understand infrastructure needs and translate them into partnership opportunities. • Ensure compliance with emerging AI and data regulations globally. • Structure win-win collaborations that provide value to partners while accelerating FirstPrinciples’ research and development projects. • Develop outreach strategies to identify and engage with high-impact technology partners. • Manage relationships with existing partners and ensure collaborations deliver meaningful outcomes. • Coordinate with internal teams to execute partnership initiatives effectively. • Track partnership outcomes and ensure they support FirstPrinciples’ research and development goals. • Help develop partnerships with universities, research institutes, and mission-aligned organizations. • Identify opportunities for joint initiatives, research collaborations, or events. • Help expand FirstPrinciples’ network across the scientific and technology ecosystem. • Represent FirstPrinciples in conversations with potential partners. • Prepare partnership proposals and collaboration frameworks. • Represent FirstPrinciples in international discussions around research infrastructure, AI collaboration, and open science initiatives. • Position FirstPrinciples as a trusted partner at the intersection of AI, physics, and advanced research infrastructure.
