Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field. - 8+ years of experience supporting financial systems, accounting operations, General Ledger management, or financial systems implementations. - Demonstrated expertise in: - General Ledger Design and Operations - Accounting Transaction Processing - Reconciliation Processes - Debits and Credits - Suspense Account Management - Audit Controls and Traceability - Financial Reporting - Accounting Period Management - Experience translating business and operational processes into accounting transactions and GL requirements. - Experience partnering with software development, architecture, or systems implementation teams. - Strong understanding of how financial transactions flow through operational systems into the General Ledger. Requirements - CPA, CMA, CIA, CGFM, or equivalent certification (preferred). - Experience with government financial systems, tax collection systems, benefits administration platforms, or public sector accounting environments. - Experience assessing financial system implementations and identifying accounting architecture gaps. - Experience supporting Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) programs. - Experience supporting Unemployment Insurance (UI) tax or benefits systems. - Experience with Salesforce-based implementations or financial systems built on Salesforce. - Familiarity with Salesforce objects, workflows, integrations, reporting, and platform architecture. - Understanding of Agile delivery and software development lifecycle practices.
