Role Description The Esports Caster / On-Air Talent will be responsible for delivering live, engaging, and professional commentary and analysis during FSU Esports broadcasts. This role includes: - Providing in-game play-by-play, color commentary, and insightful analysis across a variety of competitive titles. - Representing the FSU Esports brand on stream. - Working with production staff and engaging with viewers. - Following scripted talking points, including sponsor and event messaging. This is a part-time Work Study position designed for full-time Fanshawe College students. Qualifications - Students at Fanshawe College must be a full-time registered student and meet financial needs assessment criteria. - International students must have a valid work permit. - Must be in good academic standing according to program requirements. Requirements - Must be a full-time Fanshawe College student approved for the Work Study program. - Experience in Esports broadcasting or live casting. - Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. - Passion for competitive gaming, streaming, and the Esports community. - Ability to collaborate with a team and adapt quickly during live events. - Ability to work independently and take initiative. - Access to a high-quality personal computer and programs needed to participate in streams (e.g., OBS, Discord, streaming platforms). - Previous experience working remotely with live production is an asset. - Reliable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines. - Maintains professionalism on stream and in public-facing roles. Benefits - Supported through The Work Study Employment Program, which provides work opportunities to Fanshawe College full-time post-secondary or post-diploma students with demonstrated financial need. - Successful candidates may be asked to apply to the Work Study Employment Program. - Contract - Temporary Part-Time (September 2026 - April 2027). - Up to 20 hours of work per week.
