Role Description Evergreen’s Transportation Policy Director is charged with developing and executing on a bold transportation policy agenda that will be implemented strategically across the nation and in key states. The Transportation Policy Director will work with the Policy Team, States & Federal Affairs Team, and external partners on identifying policy priorities to address the climate crisis and build a more equitable and affordable world. They will execute the plans to make sustainable transportation policies a reality through policy strategy and advocacy that promotes system-level solutions for state transportation programs and actionable federal solutions that match the current political moment, while laying groundwork for long-term progress. Qualifications - Experience in transportation policy development and advocacy. - Strong understanding of climate policy and its intersection with transportation. - Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Role Description Evergreen is seeking a full-time Deputy Policy Director to steer our Power Sector policy work and help us achieve our mission of tackling the climate crisis while creating an equitable and affordable clean energy economy. The Deputy Policy Director will play a central role in building out our growing work to deploy clean power, primarily at the state and regional level in the near-term. - Play a pivotal role as a member of the Policy Team while seamlessly collaborating with the States team. - Shape Evergreen’s power sector policy agenda. - Author original policy products to demonstrate the roadmap for bold yet actionable power sector decarbonization and affordability policies. - Interface with state coalition partners and senior state officials, including governor’s offices, state agency staff, and PUC commissioners.
