Role Description Equal Experts is seeking backend engineers with proven senior-level experience to join the Equal Experts network on a permanent basis. As a member of the team, you will work alongside our clients to help design and deliver solutions to meet business requirements and improve the effectiveness of the clients' software delivery capability. This role involves working in teams that use modern agile technical practices, including: - Continuous integration and deployment - Fast feedback loops A growth-based, learning mindset is a must, coupled with a passion for technology. Responsibilities - Working with the client and the team to determine system requirements and how best to deliver them. - Delivery of software using agile practices (pair programming, TDD, CI/CD, etc). - Automation of system infrastructure and deployments. - Production support of systems you are working on (You build it, you run it). - Advocating agile practices to the client organisation. - Mentoring client team members. - Helping improve the team and clients’ delivery capabilities. Qualifications - Extensive, diversified experience developing, maintaining, and operating enterprise scale distributed systems. - Expert level knowledge of your chosen programming language and the associated tooling. Experience with other languages is highly desirable. - Hands-on experience with test-driven development and other forms of automated testing. - Strong understanding of the principles underlying agile development and an understanding of the various approaches that can be effective in realizing these principles in different contexts. - Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively while working remotely with globally distributed teams. - Strong interpersonal skills, including a desire to collaborate and share knowledge with other team members, including client team members. - Ability to work collectively towards a common goal without insisting on a given course of action. Nice To Have - Hands-on experience developing distributed systems including microservice architectures and RESTful services. - Hands-on experience developing and running large scale production systems ideally in containerised/cloud environments using either AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Role Description This role will be focused on two key areas: hiring contract talent for active and upcoming client projects, and expanding our associate network - a curated community of experienced professionals ready to deploy when the next opportunity comes through. - Use LinkedIn Recruiter and other methods to source for senior level independent contractors (associates) for roles such as Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Project Managers, etc. - Conduct initial video interviews with candidates to assess skill level and overall fit with Equal Experts roles and model - Coordinate interviews across multiple time zones - Onboard people to the network in a warm and inviting manner Qualifications - Experience hiring technical talent including Software Engineers, Data Engineers, Project Managers, etc. - Comfortable hiring contract and/or independent consultant talent at high velocity - Preferred prior experience hiring in Latin American markets - Strong stakeholder management abilities - guiding candidates and hiring managers through the interview process - Comfortability handling ambiguity or shifts in priorities - Familiarity with Greenhouse and Slack or related systems Company Description Equal Experts is a software development consultancy that specializes in helping customers address complex technical challenges to create world class digital solutions.
