• Own and continuously improve the company’s finance and performance reporting through automation, robust data models, and high-quality analytics. • Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, integrating data from core systems including Sage Intacct (finance), HubSpot (sales / CRM), Asana, and Snowflake data warehouse. • Own the design, build, and evolution of Power BI dashboards with a finance and commercial focus, ensuring metrics are clearly defined and consistently calculated. • Take ownership of large, complex Excel-based long-term financial models used for budgeting and forecasting, investor reporting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis. • Support ad-hoc scenario analysis and sensitivity testing as required by Finance leadership and investors. • Work closely with senior finance stakeholders to ensure modelling outputs are robust and defensible.
• Act as the primary governance and process enforcer across all projects in your region, ensuring adherence to Environment Bank’s project management framework, standards, and gateway requirements. • Own and manage the full end-to-end project lifecycle, including gateway approvals, assurance activities, and documentation. • Establish and maintain strong project controls, including risk, schedule, cost, change, and quality management. • Lead the creation, maintenance, and optimisation of project processes to improve visibility, traceability, and organisational control. • Provide oversight across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are well-governed, compliant, and progressing in line with agreed methodologies. • Provide top level oversight of all projects in your region becoming the single point of contact and information for the national programme manager and Ops Director. • Develop and own the integrated, end-to-end project plan, coordinating inputs from ecologists, habitat creation specialists, consents managers, and contractors. • Monitor and support the setup and ongoing management of complex habitat bank sites, ensuring robust planning, sequencing, and operational readiness. • Chair project meetings, drive decision-making, and maintain high-quality communication across multidisciplinary teams. • Manage the project risk register, programme, and assurance schedule, ensuring proactive mitigation and escalation where required. • Ensure safe delivery of all works, promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards. • Set, manage, and monitor project budgets across the full lifecycle, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and financial governance. • Oversee contractor performance, KPIs, and delivery quality, ensuring works meet specification, timescales, and budget. • Provide clear, timely reporting on project progress, risks, issues, and performance to internal stakeholders. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information across relevant systems and tools. • Lead lessons-learned activities, ensuring insights are captured, shared, and embed with the prog manager into future ways of working. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to refine processes, strengthen governance, and enhance project delivery capability across the organisation.
• Identify and secure new land opportunities to develop Habitat Banks by engaging with landowners and agents. • Prioritise the establishment of Habitat Banks based on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) credit demand from Local Authorities and known purchaser interest, incorporating insights from the sales team. • Perform comprehensive due diligence to evaluate site suitability for Habitat Bank development, collaborating with internal departments such as ecology, project delivery, legal, and finance. • Guide sites through the internal governance processes, collecting and analysing data to support targeted Habitat Bank creation, including reviewing local plan policies, agri-environment schemes, and relevant market sector reports. • Collaborate within a project team to develop the Habitat, oversee capital works, and support the ongoing site management, maintaining regular communication with landowners. • Oversee and implement the planning and consent procedures necessary for habitat creation. • Represent the Environment Bank by participating in regional and national marketing events to advocate for Habitat Bank creation to farmers and landowners.
• Convert inquiries into sales efficiently while ensuring excellent customer service. • Own and grow a portfolio of high-value and strategic accounts, driving long-term revenue. • Identify high-potential clients whose demand for BNG units could lead to long-term strategic partnerships, maximizing future sales opportunities. • Build deep relationships with key clients to ensure that Environment Bank are their go to partner when it comes to anything BNG related. • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how developers operate across various sectors, including residential, commercial, utilities, and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs). • Share key insights and feedback gathered during client interactions with relevant internal teams and stakeholders to support continuous business development and improvement. • Own and deliver on individual revenue targets, providing regular high-quality qualitative and quantitative updates to the business. • Take responsibility for forecasting performance and ensuring that all data regarding deals is up to date in the CRM system. • Apply market intelligence and commercial acumen to structure deals that support the performance of our habitat banks and ensure they align with business goals. • Lead on complex, high-value deal structuring, balancing client needs, habitat bank performance, and commercial returns. • Work closely with internal teams, including business development, partnerships, sales analysts, strategic sales, and portfolio managers, to align efforts and achieve shared objectives. • Represent the company with key clients through various communication channels (email, phone, in-person meetings, and events). • Ensure all data related to sales and deals is accurately recorded and maintained in the CRM system to support sales operations and overall business planning.

About the role To lead the regional Land Team to originate, progress and deliver a high-quality portfolio of Habitat Banks, from initial landowner engagement through to Live status and into long-term stewardship. You will own the full acquisition lifecycle — from Initial Site Walkover (ISW), through commercial negotiation and legal completion — ensuring strong financial outcomes, disciplined risk management, and consistent conversion. Beyond delivery, you will lead the Land function’s long-term relationship with landowners, ensuring a high-quality experience, clear communication, and full compliance with all legal obligations across the 30+ year lifecycle of each agreement. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will both lead the team and operate as a Senior Land Manager, setting the standard through your own delivery, judgement and commercial leadership. Role Description As senior People Partner, you will be a key strategic and operational advisor within the organisation, working closely with the leadership team, and reporting into the Director of People and Operations. You will align people initiatives with our business objectives and play a vital role in shaping our culture, enhancing employee engagement, and fostering a high-performance environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong HR expertise, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a keen understanding of organisational dynamics, having worked for a start-up or a scale-up where there has been progressive growth. This is a largely remote role, with occasional travel to our hub offices in London, Bristol, and York. The salary for this role is up to £70,000pa depending on experience. Qualifications - Proven experience as a HR/ People Business Partner or equivalent senior HR role, with experience of managing HR teams. - Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation. - Experience of having worked in either a hybrid or fully remote role. - Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across a remote organisation. - Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change within an organisational design. - Proficiency in using HR data and analytics to inform decision making. - Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Requirements - Experience of working in a start-up or scale-up environment. - Professional HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent) is preferred but not essential. • Report directly to the Head of Land (South) and collaborate closely with colleagues in the regional Land and Ecology Teams. • Play a role in supporting the regional Land Managers within the wider Land Team. • Identify and onboard new land opportunities to establish Habitat Banks, liaising with landowners and agents. • Prioritise the creation of Habitat Banks based on Local Authority BNG (Biodiversity Net Gain) demand and known purchaser demand, with input from the sales and finance teams. • Maintain a high profile with external property contacts including agents, landowners etc, in pursuit of opportunities for the company. • Actively seek sites in targeted areas by completing thorough land studies to identify sites that meet the needs of the company. • Oversee and conduct thorough due diligence to assess site suitability for Habitat Bank creation, coordinating with internal teams including ecology, habitat delivery, legal, and finance. • Manage and execute the planning and consenting processes required for habitat creation. • Prepare and negotiate offers with Landowners based on internal assessments and findings from site visits. • Facilitate a smooth landowner process, ensuring effective communication of contractual terms and maintaining close collaboration with the Head of Land for the relevant region and colleagues in the Land and Ecology Teams. Communication will variously be onsite, remote across Teams/ telephone and via letter/email, as appropriate. • Participate in regional and national marketing events to promote Environment Bank and the concept of Habitat Bank creation to farmers and landowners.
