Sales Engineers at EnergyHub operate at the intersection of our client-facing, product and technical teams, enabling solutions that sit between market demands and product capabilities. This Senior Sales Engineering role will become an expert in the advancing world of distributed energy resources (DERs), combining technical and business acumen to design solutions involving the dynamic control of electric vehicle charging, smart thermostats, stationary batteries, and other connected devices to deliver value to utility clients. You will also hone client-facing sales skills while serving as the liaison to your colleagues in product, business development, and program delivery -- ensuring the development of cross-functional knowledge and expertise. Main Responsibilities - Serve as a product expert within the Commercial team, understand the needs of EnergyHub’s growing base of utility clients and pair them with technical or service solutions. - Conduct discovery with prospective and existing clients on business requirements and key pain points. - Work closely with the Product team to design solutions that deliver compelling ROI. - Architect and deliver on opportunities for improving EnergyHub’s proposal, contracting, and delivery process with AI and automation tools. - Facilitate customer feedback so that EnergyHub’s Product team can inform the roadmap. - Work closely with EnergyHub’s product and marketing teams to ensure that EnergyHub is delivering the right message to the market. - Convey the value of EnergyHub’s platform, services, and program offerings to clients and prospects. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in technical, enterprise software sales, product management, or related fields. - Energy industry preferred, particularly demand side or DER management. - Strong sense of curiosity and a mission to learn. - Incredible project management and organizational skills. - Comfort communicating cross-functionally and externally with clients. - Experience with platform integrations, APIs, data transfers preferred. - Ability for periodic travel (~10%) for client visits, prospect demos, industry conferences. - Experience or data fluency with SQL or Python, Cloud BI tools, and AI agents preferred. - Experience with enterprise-level process management tools preferred.
