Role Description The Contract Recruiter will lead full-cycle recruiting for EducationSuperHighway's first major hiring push across six to eight roles spanning partnerships, marketing, program operations, and organizational support. This is a high-volume, fast-moving engagement for a recruiter who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple searches simultaneously, and closing strong candidates quickly. This is a six-month contract with potential to extend based on organizational need. Key Responsibilities - Manage full-cycle recruiting for multiple open roles simultaneously, from job posting through offer acceptance. - Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, networks, and referrals, with a strong bias toward active outreach over inbound-only pipelines. - Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage candidate communications throughout the process, ensuring a timely and positive candidate experience. - Conduct reference checks and coordinate background screenings on final candidates. - Draft and extend offers in coordination with leadership. - Support job description development for roles that are not yet fully defined. - Partner closely with ESH leadership to understand role requirements, priorities, and ideal candidate profiles. - Provide regular updates and reports on pipeline status, interview feedback, and search progress for each open role. - Advise on compensation benchmarking and sourcing strategy as needed. - Coordinate with ESH leadership on offer logistics and onboarding handoff. - Build and maintain a referral pipeline by working ESH's leadership network and encouraging warm introductions. - Manage candidate pipelines, interview notes, and search status in Ashby, ESH's ATS, keeping all records accurate and up to date. - Produce a regular pipeline report for leadership covering open requisitions, candidate status, and projected time-to-fill. - Advise leadership on Ashby configuration and workflow setup as needed to support ESH's first major hiring push. Qualifications - 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant time working as an independent contractor or agency recruiter managing multiple searches. - Demonstrated ability to manage six or more concurrent searches without losing momentum. - Strong sourcing skills, including active outreach via LinkedIn Recruiter and other channels. - Experience setting up or administering an ATS (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar). - Excellent communication and relationship management skills with both candidates and hiring managers. - Comfort working in a startup or early-stage environment where priorities can shift quickly. Requirements - Experience recruiting for nonprofit, education, or mission-driven organizations. - Familiarity with partnership, business development, or sales recruiting. - Experience using recruiter networks, or similar platforms for contract engagements. - Track record of closing candidates for roles that require mission alignment, not just compensation. Company Description EducationSuperHighway is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit that closed the K-12 broadband gap, connecting 99.3% of America's public schools to high-speed internet and helping 5 million low-income households get online. Now, EducationSuperHighway is turning those connections into opportunity — working to close the nation's literacy gap by providing literacy tutoring scholarships to first-grade students reading below grade level. We are a Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) leveraging the new $1,700 federal Educational Freedom Tax Credit (EFTC), effective January 1, 2027, to build the most ambitious literacy funding campaign in the country.
