Role Description - Designing, developing and documenting Java software applications used in the industrial environment. - Integration into our existing PAC Scrum team to develop, extend and implement customer-specific solutions. - Perform software and integration testing and support the rollout of solutions at customer sites until go-live (typically remote). - Continuously improve ourselves by actively contributing ideas to ongoing projects and processes. - Ensure that applications are supported and maintained, even while in production. - Collaboration in projects with other IT departments and integration of stakeholders. Qualifications - Completed university studies (master's degree, diploma, bachelor's degree) in technical computer science / general computer science, automation/engineering or comparable qualifications and experience. - Programming knowledge in Java/ Groovy and experience in using frameworks and tools such as Spring, Maven, JUnit and EasyMock. - Strong backend / integration focus. - No JavaScript or frontend skills required. - Experience in modern IT delivery processes (especially DevOps) and as well as in continuous delivery, automated testing and Scrum. - Preferably experience with the integration of interfaces such as OPC-UA, Siemens S7, REST/SOAP web services, TCP IP, etc. - Experience and interest in event streaming, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting (Kafka, Splunk, etc.). - Reliability, accountability, strong ability to communicate and passion for learning. - Experience in automation and/or MES environments. - Hands-on experience with message bus technologies: Kafka, JMS, MQTT. - Experience with industrial communication protocols: OPC UA, REST, Plain TCP / socket communication. - Experience integrating hardware devices such as printers, scanners, or other production equipment.
