Role Description We are seeking dependable and team-oriented Food Service Workers (Kitchen Helpers) to support daily kitchen and dining operations in a remote camp on the North Slope of Alaska. This role assists cooks and food service staff with food preparation, sanitation, dishwashing, and dining area upkeep. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, adaptable, and comfortable working long hours in a fast-paced kitchen environment. - Work Location: Remote Camp, North Slope, Alaska - Rotational Schedule: 3 weeks on/3 weeks off or 2 weeks on/2 weeks off; varies by job site - Work shifts: 12 hours/day (40 hrs straight time + 44 hrs OT per work week) - Travel: Flights between Anchorage and the job site are arranged and paid for by the company - Housing & Meals: Included (free) - Point of hire: Anchorage, AK Qualifications - High school diploma or GED - Previous food service or kitchen experience - Alaska Food Worker Card or ability to obtain upon hire - Speak and understand English - Ability to work rotational schedules with extended time away from home - Ability to live in a camp or dormitory-style setting, including sharing a room if required - Reliable access to a smartphone capable of running apps for scheduling, timekeeping (clocking in/out), shift communications, and time-off requests - Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test, criminal background check, and a post-offer fitness for duty test) Requirements - Work is performed in a commercial kitchen within a remote camp - Ability to remain on your feet for long shifts and perform repetitive physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs - Willingness to work day or night shift - Must be comfortable living and working in a remote location with shared housing accommodations and communal facilities - Teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential - Strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and conduct standards Benefits - Competitive wages and lots of overtime due to the 12-hour shift schedule - Benefits: medical, dental & vision; 401(k) with company match, life insurance, and other - Half a year off!
