Role Description The Verification of Benefits Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive insurance eligibility and benefit investigations to ensure accurate patient access, transparent financial communication, and compliant revenue cycle operations. - Verifies coverage and determines network status (facility and provider-level). - Identifies authorization requirements and calculates patient financial responsibility prior to service. - Ensures timely and precise documentation in internal systems to support Good Faith Estimates, billing accuracy, and clean claim submission. - Requires direct patient interaction to obtain updated insurance details and clarify benefit information. - Proactively communicates financial expectations in a professional, empathetic, and compliant manner. Role Description We're hiring a Contracting & Credentialing Specialist who will be responsible for supporting all credentialing, licensing, and payer contracting activities within the Managed Care Contracting & Credentialing Department. Completion of this course is mandatory before beginning any work with patients. - A Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. - A CA APRN License AND one or more additional state licenses are required. - An active CA Furnishing license and an active DEA license (eligible to DEA license). - Must be able to work full time, a minimum of 36 hours per week, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday.
