Role Description The Processor is responsible for processing files from submission through submitting to closing. They will work with all departments in coordinating processing, processing support, and administrative functions for their respective teams. Processor will work closely with underwriting, loan officer/loan officer team and Processing Supervisor to complete all functions within a timely manner and consistent with all operations policies and procedures. Processor will report directly to the Processing Supervisor. - Review and analyze credit, income, assets, and collateral upon receipt of loan to determine needs for underwriting to make a reasonable credit decision. - Communicate document requirements and conditions to borrowers and referral sources as needed consistent with corporate communication policies. - Obtain credit supplements, verifications of employment, verifications of deposit, clear fraud alerts, title commitments, transcripts, appraisals, builder documentation and other third-party information to validate application data. - Utilize DU, LP and GUS for evaluating agency eligible transactions. Review findings and determine documentation and supporting information needed for underwriting approval. - Work with underwriting and closing departments to facilitate an efficient and compliant transaction. - Respond to post closing requests for additional documentation or system updates to ensure timely loan sales. - Conduct weekly pipeline meetings with sales and provide regular communication to ensure a total team approach necessary to provide exceptional levels of customer service to borrowers and referral sources. - Licensing and certifications to be obtained when requested by management, such as NMLS licensing, bond certifications, and other educational certifications. Goals/Expectations - Process an average of 14 closed loan files per month. - Review initial submissions from sales within 48 hours and provide welcome call and follow up email to the borrower. Submit loans to underwriting within 5 business days of receipt. - Represent JET with the highest level of customer service and professionalism. - Maintain loan level data and document integrity throughout the processing lifecycle. - Submit CD Requests to closing 7 or more business days prior to closing. - Resubmit loans for CFD or CTC at least 6 days prior to closing.
