• As a back-end engineer at Dimensional, you will have the opportunity to understand the users’ needs and solve problems like complex calculation engines in an ETL pipeline, database design, API and microservice design and engineering. • Collaborate with subject matter experts in a variety of areas to drive the success of our clients. • Collaborate with front-end engineers on the design of solutions and APIs. • Perform software and data architecture and design. • Develop complex software solutions using back-end technologies. • Demonstrate and mentor software engineering best practices and participate in code reviews. • Develop configurations and automations to enable testing, infrastructure and deployments.

For this position, which is subject to credentials, industry experience, education, training/certifications, and/or geographic differentials, Dimensional reasonably expects to pay a salary range of: $155,000 - $185,000This role is also bonus eligible. Job Description: The Regional Director is responsible for relationship management and business development of both existing and new clients in the Northern California region of the United States. They will lead all sales related activities as well as organize efforts of client services team members to effectively address the needs of advisors. To be successful, the Regional Director must have a solid foundational knowledge of investments, capital markets and asset allocation theory. The ability to discuss the sophisticated investment solutions that Dimensional provides is critical to working with and influencing Advisors. Just as important, the Regional Director must have a strong business development and client service orientation and understand the issues and challenges Advisors face in building a client-centric, fee-based business. This position can be performed remotely in Northern California or on a hybrid schedule from our Santa Monica office. Responsibilities: - Sales leadership and management of a territory composed primarily of fee-only, high net worth financial advisors. - Develop strategies to expand and retain existing and build net new advisor relationships. - Educate advisors on capital market behavior and investment theory. - Consult with advisor firms on building an efficient practice while providing a successful investment experience to clients. - Present Dimensional Fund Advisors’ investment capabilities, investment theory and performance to Financial Advisors, branch offices, company conferences and industry functions. - Formulate and execute tailored Dimensional initiatives and champions existing company initiatives. - Be a team-player and sales and marketing thought leader within the Dimensional team. - Be a spokesperson for the Dimensional brand and investment theory throughout the industry and marketplace. - Increase revenues, AUM and Advisor clients within the territory through the profitable growth of the Dimensional product suite. This role will be instrumental in helping us mature our automation capabilities over time while continuing to support a high-availability production network. What You Might Work On: You’ll work across both network operations and automation-driven improvement initiatives. Focus on data consistency, refresh rates and caching requirements while keeping the data current across a variety of interfaces. Qualifications: B achelor’s degree in engineering, math, computer science, or a related field , or equivalent work experience . 4 - 5 years of programming experience in Python (open source) or equivalent. Proficiency in building RESTful APIs and web services. 4 - 5 years of SQL experience . Proven track record of leveraging SOLID principles and Domain D riven D esign to drive successful outcomes . Experience in high performance and high availability data applications including expertise in performance optimization and tuning. Experience with automated acceptance testing and ability to write unit-tested, maintainable code. Strong understanding of cyber security risks and demonstrated ability to design and build highly secure applications. Experience working in a dynamic and interactive team environment to build world-class software implementations. Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service. Experience working with both Agile / Scrum and waterfall methodologies with a software development and integration focus.
