What You'll Do - Serve as a trusted HR advisor, providing guidance within established policies and practices. - Lead ethics and HR compliance programs, ensuring alignment with local, state (including California), federal, and company regulations. - Manage compliance for remote and hybrid employees in California, including wage ordinances, break requirements, and home office reimbursements. - Partner with HR Centers of Excellence and site leadership to implement talent strategies focused on recruiting, retention, and succession planning. - Lead hourly talent acquisition efforts, including partnerships with local temp agencies. - Champion a positive and inclusive employee experience through communication, engagement, and community involvement initiatives. - Align employee experience with business goals and productivity needs. - Investigate and resolve employee relations matters, coaching leaders and proactively addressing workplace concerns. - Lead and develop a small HR team, setting priorities and supporting their growth. - Collaborate on cross-functional HR projects and initiatives. - Support employees across three shifts and multiple locations with flexibility and commitment. - Travel domestically by up to 10%. - Perform other duties as assigned. What You Bring - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field; and 5+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments. - Proficient in California labor laws, including wage and hour compliance and leave administration. - Spanish language proficiency required to support a diverse workforce. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect across all levels of the organization. - Strategic approach with the ability to lead and influence. - Data-driven decision-making skills and strong business sense. - Proven understanding of HR trends, legal requirements, and compliance. - Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment. - Ability to develop innovative HR solutions aligned with company goals. - High emotional intelligence, active listening, and relationship-building skills. - Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with HRIS and communication tools. Responsibilities Key responsibilities as a Lead IoT Systems Engineer include: Providing technical leadership and establishing product architecture (cloud, mobile, and embedded) for digital and connected products. Leading ecosystem alignment with smart home consortium and coordinating with internal team members and partners. Bringing smart home water products from ideation to production. Working in Architectural Frameworks (DoDAF, Zachman, TOGAF, etc.) to communicate architecture to the team members. Guiding the product development teams with strategic direction regarding technology selection, sourcing, implementation, and support. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of engineers to design an efficient solution for the entire system; coordinating technical activities across the entire project. Delivering documentation and technical coordination across various engineering competencies. Driving product solution requirements management (under both waterfall and agile methodologies), verification management, DFMEA, P-Diagrams, etc. Qualifications Candidates with a Bachelors of Science or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technology field are encouraged to apply. 10+ years of hands-on systems engineering with progressive responsibilities in complex end-to-end IoT enabled solutions and/or products. Understanding of INCOSE, certification is not required but preferred. Experience with IoT products: Firmware (embedded software), Mobile and Cloud Applications (including front and backend applications), Connectivity (especially BLE, WiFi, and Thread), and Cybersecurity (including maintenance, updates, offensive/ penetration testing). Over-The-Air update experience for battery-powered devices. Supervising cloud performance monitoring and cost controls for managing a scalable, extensible, and composable cloud application infrastructure. History of leading continuous improvement initiatives, including customer-feedback driven and customer-experience focused improvements to devices in production. Understanding of Azure IoT Hub and Cloud Native Services. Strategic IoT ecosystem experience; especially with Matter and C2C service extensions.
