Role Description We are seeking a full-time Digital Product Management and Innovation Instructor to deliver exceptional workshops across our commercial and apprenticeship programmes. This role is dedicated to the delivery of workshops, delivered between 09:00 - 17:00 GMT. The majority of workshops will be 4.5 or 7 hours long (including set-up and wrap-up time) with 8 hour hackathon workshops delivered less frequently throughout the programmes. There will be in-person delivery required for select UK-based clients. Infrequently you may be asked to work outside core UK working hours due to the global nature of Decoded's client base. Accountabilities - Teaching our learning content to groups of apprenticeship learners via virtual and in-person workshops - Honing your skills as an educator and building your knowledge of andragogy and teaching theory - Working with the Learner Success Coaches (LSCs) to ensure apprentices progress through the programme - Contributing to product improvement and content development Specific Roles & Responsibilities - Workshop preparation and knowledge of content: - Comprehensively understand the commercial and apprenticeship curriculums and learning objectives of our programmes - Reviewing exercises and other learning materials before a workshop - Learning about your learners and the businesses they work for - Familiarising yourself with the course structure and content, proactively filling gaps in your knowledge - Maintaining a continual learning mindset and strive to advance your knowledge in your specialist domains - Facilitation skills: - Timekeeping - Classroom management - Atmosphere: both professional and energetic, with good energy and engagement level with learners - In person delivery standards to ensure an effective classroom environment - Technical issues using Zoom/Teams, Mural, Menti and other key tools - Quality of teaching: - Decode and communicate complex concepts and principles with energy, focus and patience - Engaging and captivating the attention of a virtual room of busy professionals - Facilitating the learning journey for your audience, and leaving no-one behind whilst also providing stimulation for advanced learners - Enabling an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful learning environment - Product Development: - Support content development of SME content across Product Management and Digital Innovation programmes - Contributor to the creation and refactoring of new/existing products by providing SME input and peer review of content - Producing materials to support learners with stretch needs, and instructions for technical content to support learning Skills & Behaviours We are looking for candidates with a mindset built on: Required Skills and Qualifications - Essential: - Proven experience in digital product management, with the credibility and confidence to teach from real-world practice - Excellent written, verbal and facilitation skills, with the ability to make complex topics accessible and engaging - Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage preparation, delivery and competing priorities - A growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement in teaching and subject knowledge - Confidence working collaboratively in distributed, remote teams - Degree-level qualification or equivalent relevant industry experience - Desirable: - Experience in AI, machine learning, prompt engineering or adjacent digital innovation topics - A recognised teaching, training or assessment qualification - Relevant agile, product or AI certifications - Experience delivering apprenticeship or commercial training programmes - Knowledge of GenAI adoption in business contexts What Does Success Look Like? - Enabling learners to apply newly learned techniques to their professional environment - Delivering regular high-quality learning engagements with learners - Coaching through the application of techniques that are new to learners - Striving for excellence in everything you do: you don’t accept mediocrity in yourself or the team around you - Solving problems elegantly and creatively: “find a way or make a way” Who Are You? - A passionate educator with over 2 years of experience teaching Product Ownership, Business Analysis and Product Management in a commercial setting - Invested in sharing knowledge about business innovation practices and methodologies with learners - Confident managing your own time to ensure you meet delivery deadlines and stay on top of preparation requirements - An excellent and adaptable communicator, verbally and in writing - Self-motivated and a problem solver who takes initiative - Passionate about technology and learning - A team player who is eager to improve our programmes wherever possible and contributes to overall morale - Always keen to learn, improve and stretch your own knowledge, skills and behaviours Day to Day This role can be delivered fully remote, provided the working location has consistently reliable Wifi for workshop delivery. The Decoded office in Shoreditch is available to all Decoded employees for workshop delivery. This role will involve travel for in person delivery within the UK as required by our customers. Your working hours will be 09:00 - 17:00. Time off in lieu is provided for work outside of these hours. Overview The Quality & Curriculum Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of curriculum design, delivery, and assessment across Decoded’s apprenticeship programmes. As part of the Quality & Compliance team, the Quality & Curriculum Manager will manage the development of new apprenticeship AI/digital/leadership programmes and aligned curriculum, ensuring the Product Team align programmes to the Standard and KSBs appropriately. Further responsibility will be to manage the revision of existing programmes in line with IfATE (Skills England) timelines. This role will ensure that both new and existing programmes adhere to the DEAR model (where appropriate). The DEAR model is Decoded’s preferred delivery model and this role will ensure when the DEAR model is implemented, it also embeds digital innovation and the latest technologies, to remain responsive to evolving industry and employer needs. Alongside management of the apprenticeship curriculum, the Quality & Curriculum Assurance Manager will manage the IQA process, drive high standards in LSC & Teaching delivery and ensure all programmes are updated in line with regulatory requirements. Role & Responsibilities Curriculum Assurance/Management - Manage the design and the development of new programmes, working alongside Product Team colleagues to ensure programme structure, content and assessment align to Standard & KSBs. This should be in line with the Decoded ‘blue print’ model. - Manage the review of the DEAR model integration, cutting-edge technologies, tools and methodologies to ensure appropriate and effective implementation. - Manage the revision and continuous improvement of existing programmes, working alongside Product Team colleagues to ensure programme structure, content and assessment align to the standards & KSBs. - Develop and implement robust quality frameworks to ensure strong curriculum design, which includes the effective embedment of the wider curriculum (British Values, Maths & English, Prevent, Soft Skills, Digital Skills) - Lead the revision of programmes components - assessment plans, end point assessment - in line with regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance in all changes. - Working alongside Skills & Progression Manager, support the accreditation and programme approval processes Quality - Line Management of IQA Team - IQA oversight, supporting IQA and ensuring quality, integrity, standardisation and best practice through the IQA process - Management of Gateway process, to ensure EPAO requirements are met. - Work with the Head of Learner Success to reduce EPA re-sits through proactive intervention. - Driving quality and standardisation during the sampling window, with constant evaluation of process. - Support the sampling of learner submissions; hypercare, on programme, deep dives - Manage the OTLA process for the LSC team, monitor and improve standards to drive excellence. Also working with the Head of Teaching to collaborate on monitoring and improving standards, in the same way, for the apprenticeship teaching team. Who are you? Technical Experience & Knowledge - Apprenticeship Expertise: Extensive knowledge of DfE funding rules, Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF), and IfATE (Skills England) requirements. - Curriculum Design: Proven experience in designing or overseeing apprenticeship curriculum that maps directly to Standards and Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs). - IQA Mastery: Significant experience managing Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes and teams, including standardisation, sampling strategies, and Lead IQA responsibilities. - EPA Success: A track record of managing the Gateway process and working with End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs) to ensure high achievement rates and minimal resits. - Quality Improvement: Experience leading Observation of Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (OTLA) and implementing Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) to drive pedagogical excellence. Skills & Competencies - Digital Fluency: A strong interest in or experience with AI, digital tools, emerging technologies, and leadership. You should be comfortable ensuring these are meaningfully embedded into learning delivery. - Analytical Mindset: The ability to use data (from learner submissions, IQA reports, and EPA outcomes) to identify trends, gaps in quality, and areas for curriculum revision. - Strategic Alignment: Ability to bridge the gap between "Product" (what is built) and "Quality" (what is compliant/effective), ensuring the DEAR model is executed without compromising regulatory standards. - Leadership: Proven ability to line manage and develop a team of IQAs, fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous professional development. - Wider Curriculum Integration: Expert understanding of how to authentically embed British Values, Prevent, Safeguarding, and Functional Skills into technical digital programmes. Qualifications - IQA Qualification: Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice (e.g., V1 or IQA) is essential. - Teaching Qualification: A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or Level 5 DET) is highly desirable. - Assessing Qualification: Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (e.g., A1 or CAVA). - Subject Matter Expertise: A degree or equivalent professional experience in a Digital, Data, or Leadership discipline would be a significant advantage. Day-To-Day Our working hours are from 9am-5pm Monday- Friday. You plan your working day around the best outcomes for success, identifying and prioritising projects against business needs. We have recently moved into a fully remote working model. In person team days such as workshops, training days and social events are organised for teams to spend time together on an occasional basis. You will be part of the team setting product direction, quality and relevance of our product and proposition with the opportunity to drive product direction and content. This role includes delivery of workshops, delivery of content against solution and customer requirements, and subject matter leadership for business practitioners focused on AI Automation and process redesign. Accountabilities & Responsibilities: 1. Leadership & Professionalism - Domain SME: Act as the ultimate Subject Matter Expert for AI and Automation, maintaining a best-in-class understanding of LLMs, Agentic Orchestration, and Low-Code ecosystems to inform our teaching. - Professional Standards: Maintain high standards of delivery across quality and pacing, ensuring a consistent and high-quality Decoded voice across all AI sessions. - Stakeholder Management: Confidently manage high-stakes technical conversations with senior stakeholders, providing clarity on everything from API orchestration to model benchmarking. - Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and upskilling to the wider delivery team, ensuring the team remains at the forefront of the AI-driven Business Transition landscape. 2. Content Design & Development - Curriculum Innovation: Develop new learning programme content that bridges the gap between manual business processes and automated reasoning, focusing on the architectural design of Business Transition pathways. - The "Vibe Coding" Methodology: Design and champion educational frameworks for AI-assisted development, teaching learners how to use AI to generate, audit, and secure Python and Javascript snippets. - Process Redesign Architecture: Deconstruct messy manual processes into machine-readable as-is and to-be workflows, building the technical blueprints for our automation curriculum. - Solution Alignment: Ensure all content meets set deadlines and is tailored to specific customer requirements while maintaining the core integrity of the AI & Automation product suite. 3. Teaching and Delivery - Workshop Instruction: Deliver high-impact, virtual workshops to cohorts of business practitioners, effectively translating complex architectural concepts into actionable logic. - Teaching Excellence: Apply professional teaching techniques and classroom experience to ensure high engagement and knowledge retention across a diverse range of learner backgrounds. Enable an inclusive, collaborative, and respectful learning environment - Technical Troubleshooting: Provide real-time support and technical clarity during live sessions, ensuring the smooth delivery of hands-on labs focused on Power Platform, Zapier and n8n. - Quality Assurance: Constantly refresh technical delivery based on learner feedback and market shifts to ensure our instruction remains at the cutting edge of the AI field. 4. Subject Matter Leadership - Product Direction: Work closely with the Product teams to drive the direction of our AI and Automation products and propositions, identifying gaps in the market and opportunities for new technical propositions. - Commercial Insight: Apply subject matter leadership to help shape the commercial strategy for the AI & Automation domain, ensuring our products meet the evolving needs of our global clients. Team & Reporting Structure You will report into the Portfolio Director, in the Product Department. Who are you? Experience - Extensive experience in technical facilitation and teaching, with a passion for sharing complex technical knowledge with non-technical audiences. - Proven track record of designing and delivering technical learning content, specifically in the fields of AI, Automation, or Digital Transformation. - Experience in AI Automation and process redesign, combining the rigour of business process analysis with the technical execution of automated workflows. - Demonstrable experience in leading a technical domain or product area within a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills - AI Practitioner: Expertise in Vibe Coding and AI-assisted development workflows including advanced Prompt Engineering and the implementation of LLM-as-a-Judge evaluation frameworks. - Automation Expert: Advanced proficiency in Low-Code/No-Code ecosystems such as Power Automate, Zapier, or other equivalent enterprise tools. - Coding Literacy: Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript, specifically regarding their application in extending automation tools and managing API integrations. - Systems Architecture: Ability to design and document data flows and agentic reasoning loops for use in technical training materials. Communication & Stakeholder Management - Expert at technical translation, making the black box of AI transparent and accessible to non-technical operational leaders. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and technical peers alike.
