Position Summary: CRG is seeking a dynamic and experienced Legislative Director to build and lead our nationwide government affairs strategy. This individual will be responsible for shaping public policy, securing funding, advocating for our mission, and task-organizing CRG employees involved in legislative efforts. As the company’s primary liaison to government officials and public affairs representation, you will drive legislative initiatives that support critical infrastructure and the first responders who safeguard those sites. This is a unique opportunity to join an already successful organization, committed to a singular mission, and to have an immediate impact with tangible responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: ● Design and execute a comprehensive, multi-state government affairs strategy to advance CRG's policy priorities and secure legislative and budgetary support. ● Serve as the principal advocate for CRG, directly engaging and building robust relationships with elected officials, legislative staff, and executive agency leaders at the local, state, and federal levels ● Monitor, analyze, and interpret relevant legislation and policy trends, providing strategic counsel and actionable intelligence to CRG’s senior leadership team. ● Draft persuasive testimony, position papers, official correspondence, and other advocacy materials to effectively communicate CRG's value proposition. ● Identify and lead efforts to secure government funding through grants, direct appropriations, and other budgetary mechanisms. ● Build and maintain coalitions with industry partners, public safety organizations, and other key stakeholders to amplify our legislative efforts. ● Coordinate internally to delegate tasks and ensure CRG team members are prepared to support legislative functions and events. Qualifications and Attributes: ● Proven experience in government relations, public policy, or a related field, with a deep understanding of legislative and budgetary processes. ● Prior military experience is highly preferred. ● Exceptional public speaking, interpersonal, and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling messages. ● Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy and an entrepreneurial spirit in a remote work environment. ● Superior organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple, complex legislative efforts across the country simultaneously. ● A strategic thinker who is ethically strong, operates with integrity, and is motivated by a desire to win. This is a remote position, preferably based on the east coast, with the requirement to travel for meetings, hearings, and intermittent collaboration at our headquarters in Hamilton, NJ and to state capitols for in-person events. Base Salary: $120,000 annually + performance bonus for funding secured
