Role Description We are seeking an experienced freelance Performance Analyst to support the Global Performance & Measurement team, with a strong focus on Paid Social (Condé Nast Amplify), Affiliate Marketing, and Commerce initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly analytical, self-directed individual who excels at building performance dashboards, analyzing advertising data, and translating results into actionable insights across media and affiliate partner ecosystems. In this role, you will analyze campaign performance across Condé Nast’s paid social, commerce, and affiliate marketing programs, working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure accurate reporting, meaningful insights, and clear performance storytelling. Your work will directly inform optimization strategies, partner reporting, and future commercial opportunities. Key Responsibilities - Analyze performance across paid social, affiliate partner networks, and paid commerce-driven campaigns, spanning multiple brands and platforms. - Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reporting frameworks that consolidate media, affiliate/retail partner, and commerce performance data. - Deliver performance analysis and insights across platforms such as social media ad managers and affiliate/retail media partners (e.g., Amazon, Walmart or similar). - Develop a strong understanding of stakeholder objectives, commerce KPIs, and affiliate partner nuances to provide tailored, actionable insights. - Translate complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for internal teams and potential client-facing materials. - Support campaign wrap-ups, delivery reports, and recurring performance reporting tied to ads and retail partnerships. - Produce benchmarks, trend analyses, and insights to support repeat revenue and future planning across paid media and commerce initiatives. - Identify and proactively address data discrepancies, gaps, or reporting challenges across platforms and partners. - Provide guidance on performance measurement best practices, measurement methodologies, and data quality for paid social and affiliate marketing programs. Qualifications - 2–5 years of experience in data analytics, paid media, retail media, or commerce-focused advertising, or equivalent freelance/consulting experience. - Strong expertise in paid social, with working knowledge of retail media and conversion-based KPIs (ROAS, sales lift, conversion, attribution, etc.). - Demonstrated experience building dashboards and automated reporting using BI tools such as Omni, Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Omni experience is preferred. - Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills for data analysis, QA, and more. - Experience working with multiple data sources, including ad platforms, affiliate partners, on-site and internal reporting tools. - Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple work streams. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain performance insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive problem-solver. Preferred Skills - Experience with Omni Analytics, especially with modeling and the SQL or Python experience preferred. - Analytics engineering with DBT or similar experience. - AI engineering through context and prompt development a plus. Engagement Details - Freelance / contract role (project-based or ongoing support, depending on business needs). - Remote-friendly with collaboration across global teams. - Opportunity to work across high-impact paid media, retail media, and commerce initiatives for a premium media portfolio. - The expected base salary range for this position is from $73,000-$85,000. We are interested in experienced journalists who are public personalities—on television, at live events, or across social platforms.
