Role Description The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for the mission-success, administrative and educational oversight of assigned academic program(s) for the effective completion of assigned tasks, and execution of performance management in accordance with university policies and procedures, to deliver the highest level of educational and instructional quality and excellence towards workplace success for CSU Global’s mission-achievement and nontraditional learners. The PM is responsible for providing leadership for program operations including development, implementation, assessment, and revision of courses and curricula, program faculty and instructor management and development, accreditation and organizational compliance activities, advisory group management, enrollment and recruiting support for program faculty and instructors, and maintaining a positive relationship with other program and college constituencies. Qualifications - Doctorate degree with a minimum of eighteen (18) hours of graduate credit hours in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. - Minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, or very closely related field; leadership experience preferred. - Three (3) years of experience teaching in any modality or developing curriculum in an online environment. - Must either have completed FCC100 at CSU Global or register to take FCC100 within the first 3 months of employment with CSU Global. - Professional licensure, certification, and/or endorsements relating to Business, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field strongly preferred. Requirements - Coordinates the development, evaluation, and revision of curricular and pedagogical aspects of the assigned academic program(s) to ensure a high-quality curriculum and positive student learning experience. - Verifies and ensures accuracy of program and course details in the academic catalog. - Maintains curriculum maps which link program learning outcomes to program courses. - Completes a bi-annual program assessment to review program data, quality measure, and constituent feedback. - Coordinates program accreditation activities as needed and ensures the program is compliant with all requirements and reports. - Identifies advisory group members and facilitates regular meetings to ensure that the curricular offerings are current, timely, and best prepared for students. - Coordinates, promotes, and supports student membership in all program-related honor societies and student organizations, as needed by the program. - Responds promptly to all requests and issues (e.g., curriculum questions, course issues, curriculum ticket, grade appeals, student and faculty issues/questions) according to CSU Global service-level agreements. - Maintains relevant and up-to-date program marketing descriptions. - Collaborates with university constituents to support partnerships, program marketing, recruitment, admission, advising, and retention efforts to ensure enrollment goals and fiscal performance goals are met. - Completes program admissions reviews, transcript evaluations (TES), and prior learning assessments in a timely manner. - Teaches or redevelops courses in the Program Manager’s program(s). In general, a PM must teach or redevelop at least one course per calendar year. - Achieves quality control of every course in the program through term-on-term blueprint and review shell checks. - Contributes to the promulgation of the CSU Global culture and core values through demonstrated behaviors. - In collaboration with Faculty Operations, be responsible for the success of the part-time faculty towards the university mission and goals. - Participates in selection and performance management of course content experts (CE) and supports curriculum processes and deadlines for course development and quality review. - Engages in regular communications with faculty through meetings, emails, and newsletters. - Submits an annual program report summarizing accomplishments and planning priorities for faculty development. - Serves as a liaison with relevant professional associations and state and national regulatory and accrediting agencies. - Represents the program at institutional and programmatic events and ceremonies and partnership meetings as requested. - Maintains the highest level of ethical standard and confidentiality in the execution of all duties performed. - Complies with all University policies and procedures. - Remains current in profession and industry trends. - Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by making suggestions for improvement. - Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. • Prior to the course start, complete a quality check/review of each assigned course per CSU Global expectations. • Engage fully with students in assigned academic course(s). This translates to having active course participation and being responsive to students and supporting their success. • Conduct course(s) as designed through the learning management system (Canvas) • Post weekly course updates and announcements. • Maintain and submit accurate and timely reports for student grades. • Adhere to all CSU Global faculty expectations regarding engagement in the course through the discussion board and in comments and feedback to students on assessments. • Provide personalized and substantive feedback on all student submissions and assignments within CSU Global guidelines. • Respond promptly to student, Program Director, and University emails, phone calls, and inquiries in accordance with CSU Global guidelines. • Host live class sessions, as required. • Submit course tickets for any course issue. • Provide feedback on the course topics, presentation, and relevancy to the Program Director. • Actively assist the University in retention efforts such as reporting to the Academic Success Office a concern for a student not engaged in the course. • Support University assessment efforts for the course and program. • Maintain the highest level of ethical standard and confidentiality in the execution of all duties performed. • Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. • Complies with all University policies and procedures. • Remains current in profession and industry trends. • Makes a positive contribution as demonstrated by: • making suggestions for improvement • learning new skills, procedures and processes. • Is available for other duties as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • None REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Documented knowledge and skills related to teaching modern learners and teaching methodology. • Experience working with a diverse student population. • Ability to resolve inquiries and complaints. • Ability to effectively communicate to students, faculty, academic and campus leaders, and other internal and external stakeholders • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment with minimal supervision. • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment • Successfully completes regulatory and job training requirements. • Computer skills: • Enter data into computer using software applications for data entry and word processing. • Proficient with e-mail and cloud-based document systems (e.g., Google applications). • Proficient with standard word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining speed of work and attention to detail without loss to productivity. • Ability to perform under stress in cases of emergency, critical or hazardous situations. • Ability to work with others in a team environment. • Instructing • Learning Strategies • Active Listening • Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work • Quality Assurance • Critical Thinking • Problem Solving QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • Doctorate in Business Administration/Business Management • Master's degree in Management, Business, Organizational Leadership or an MBA • Candidates must have a minimum of two (2) years of recent industry experience in Business closely or a related field , acquired within the past 10 years. This experience should demonstrate practical application of business principles in real-world settings. • At least one (1) year of online business-related teaching experience in higher education is required. • Experience creating course content. Course development is required with this role. • Specific professional licensure may be required depending upon the program discipline area. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS • None PHYSICAL DEMANDS • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle or feel, and talk or hear. • The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms. • Ability to spend long durations in front of a computer monitor. • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: PLEASE READ! CSU Global courses are 8 weeks in length. Course appointments are awarded on a term to term basis and are based on University enrollment. Employment is considered part time/temporary. Compensation is competitive, the hourly pay range is $32 -$37 based on teaching load and degree type and also includes a contribution to a retirement account. Background checks are required of all appointed candidates. Appointed candidates will be required to submit official transcripts prior to start date.
