Role Description We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Pediatric Telehealth Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality therapy services to children through virtual platforms. As part of our telehealth team, you will have the opportunity to work with children of various age groups who require occupational therapy to develop skills for daily living, enhance their motor abilities, and support their cognitive, sensory, and emotional development. Pay: - $45 per billable hour ($11.25 per unit) and $70 per evaluation - $5 more for therapy provided on Saturday or Sunday Hours: - After school hours until 7pm is biggest need along with weekends anytime (flexible based on patient need) Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive telehealth evaluations and assessments to determine the needs of children and create individualized therapy plans. - Develop customized treatment plans based on the assessment results, family goals, and input from other professionals. - Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions through telehealth platforms to help children achieve functional independence in areas. - Provide coaching and support to families, caregivers, and teachers on how to reinforce therapeutic goals at home and in the community. - Regularly track and document client progress through virtual visits, adjust therapy plans as needed, and provide updates to families and referring physicians. - Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists, physical therapists, and pediatricians, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care. - Educate families and children on adaptive tools, strategies, and techniques to improve day-to-day functioning. - Use telehealth software and platforms efficiently to deliver services and maintain accurate records of client interactions. Qualifications - Master's or doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) required unless transitioned into accreditation with a bachelor's degree. - Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state where the services are being provided (primarily Texas). - Prior experience in pediatric occupational therapy, preferably with telehealth delivery, is highly preferred. - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. - Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques. - Comfort and proficiency in using telehealth technology and platforms. - Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism. - Empathy and a patient approach when working with children and their families. Requirements - Access to a quiet, secure space for virtual therapy sessions. - Reliable internet connection and proficiency with video conferencing tools. - Must be able to work with a diverse population of children and families. - Background check and references required.
