Role Description This role involves supporting the development of Internera’s event discovery and distribution platform by helping design, build, and maintain the technical systems behind the application. - Focus on coding core features and structuring databases - Develop backend infrastructure for businesses to post events and users to discover them easily - Gain hands-on experience building a real technology product from the ground up - Assist with application development, database management, testing, and system improvements - Translate business ideas into functional software - Play a key part in creating a scalable platform that can support multiple businesses and large volumes of event data Qualifications - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field - Basic understanding of programming concepts and software development - Familiarity with at least one programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or similar - Strong logical thinking and problem-solving ability - Ability to work independently on technical projects - Preferred: Experience building or contributing to web or mobile applications - Preferred: Experience working with databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar systems - Preferred: Familiarity with APIs and system integrations - Preferred: Experience using Git or version control systems - Preferred: Interest in startup product development or building new technology platforms Requirements - Understanding of software development fundamentals including programming logic, data structures, and application architecture - Familiarity with how databases are structured and how data is stored, retrieved, and organized - Knowledge of web applications, APIs, and how digital platforms function - Basic understanding of system performance, debugging, and troubleshooting - Awareness of how technical systems support real business operations - Ability to write, test, and improve code using common programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or similar languages - Skill in designing and organizing databases for efficient information storage and access - Ability to analyze problems and develop logical technical solutions - Skill in reading and understanding existing code, documenting systems, and maintaining organized technical workflows - Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly as the platform evolves - Ability to translate business ideas into functional technical systems and features - Ability to work independently on development tasks while communicating progress and challenges clearly - Ability to identify inefficiencies or technical issues and improve system performance - Ability to think through scalability so systems can grow as more businesses and users join the platform - Ability to remain organized and focused when working on complex technical problems Benefits - Remote work eligibility: All Remote - Anticipated hours per week: Minimum 5, Maximum 10 - Schedule: Varies - Salary/Wage Range: Minimum $12 - Number of Positions: 1
