Role Description This is a unique opportunity to work directly with General Counsel in a remote role combining commercial litigation and in-house advisory work. The ideal candidate will be comfortable both managing litigation matters and advising business teams on legal risk, contracts, and compliance. Key Responsibilities - Manage and support commercial litigation matters, including coordination with outside counsel. - Handle pre-litigation disputes, demand responses, and settlement strategy. - Draft and review contracts, including vendor agreements, settlement agreements, and commercial contracts. - Advise internal teams (Marketing, Operations, HR, Sales) on legal risk and compliance. - Assist with employment-related matters, disputes, and internal investigations. - Review marketing materials, policies, and communications for regulatory compliance. - Conduct legal research and prepare practical, business-oriented guidance. - Participate in building scalable legal processes and infrastructure. Qualifications - J.D. from an accredited law school; active Florida Bar membership required. - 3–7 years of experience, with meaningful exposure to: - Commercial litigation - Contract disputes - Employment-related matters - Marketing compliance review - Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills. - Ability to operate both independently and in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. - Business-minded approach with strong judgment and problem-solving ability. Preferred - Prior in-house or business-facing experience. - Experience in financial services, debt restructuring, or highly regulated industries. - New York bar admission in addition to Florida licensure.
