• Define the Data Platform Architecture • Lead end-to-end technical design for CloudZero's next-generation data platform, from event ingestion and stream processing through hot/cold storage and the query layer to the API surface • Document architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and migration strategies with the rigor of an RFC-driven process • Shape and drive every layer of the new architecture: event ingestion, stream processing and enrichment, real-time serving, analytical storage, query layer, and API • Design and deliver CloudZero's real-time data pipeline from ingestion through enrichment to serving • Establish SLOs for throughput, latency, and correctness, and build the operational playbooks that make this system trustworthy enough to replace the batch pipelines our entire product currently depends on • Tackle real-time streaming at scale across thousands of customers simultaneously, with fault tolerance, backpressure awareness, and correctness as non-negotiables • Redesign CloudZero's dimensional cost model to support high-cardinality, multi-dimensional cost attribution without runaway materialization costs • Drive incremental, delta-based materialization strategies using modern open table formats, dramatically reducing expensive full-rebuild jobs and unlocking millions in annual infrastructure savings • Assess CloudZero's current query infrastructure, drive in-flight migrations to completion, and lead the evolution of the query engine layer going forward • Own performance optimization across partition pruning, predicate pushdown, and query planning, and set the vision for how the query layer grows as data volumes scale 10x • Evolve CloudZero's proprietary cost attribution engine from a batch-oriented model to one that assigns complex cost dimensions by team, feature, and customer within seconds of resource usage • Rethink enrichment, data lineage, and correctness guarantees in a streaming context • Partner with product, infrastructure, and analytics engineering to define a multi-year data platform roadmap • Build consensus across engineering leadership on foundational investments including table formats, streaming frameworks, query engines, and schema management • Participate in architecture reviews, contribute to design patterns and best practices, and mentor senior and staff engineers through code review, pairing, and structured feedback • Make everyone around you better, not by directing, but by raising the collective craft

• Own and scale the Sales Engineering function across all the West and Central U.S. regions - hiring, developing, and inspiring a high-performing team of four Sales Engineers. • Partner with GTM Leadership to drive top-line revenue growth through technical engagements, strategic partnerships, and streamlined deal acceleration. • Serve as an expert in customer and partner engagement, connecting the dots between customer needs, market insight, CloudZero’s capabilities, and platform innovation. • Evolve CloudZero’s Sales Engineering processes and tooling to support a rapidly scaling SaaS organization. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to refine messaging, proof strategies, and feedback loops. • Drive growth of the technical partnership ecosystem, including cloud providers, ISVs, and channel partners. • Be a cultural leader and multiplier, modeling excellence, accountability, and empathy across the go-to-market team.
Director, Field Sales

• Communicate the value proposition for the CloudZero platform and understand how it can be applied to address specific customer business outcomes. • Ensure customers are getting value from the adoption of the CloudZero platform. • Renew customer contracts, looking for opportunities for revenue expansion. • Lead, motivate, actively coach and grow the customer-facing FinOps Account Management (FAM) and Customer Success Management (CSM) teams. • Develop a strategy for scaling Customer Success, including building and managing teams for on-boarding, adoption, renewals and expansion at scale. • Manage the customer experience and journey - from sales handoff through post-sales on-boarding and adoption, and continued customer engagement through renewals and expansion. • Meet with customers globally to drive their adoption and value realization, and to identify areas of improvement for our platform, organization, and process. • Be a customer advocate and act as a trusted partner to R&D and GTM teams by ensuring the right priority and technical resources are being applied to maximize customer success activities. • Translating customer needs into actionable insights and priorities; ensuring a cohesive customer journey in partnership with R&D and GTM stakeholders. • Partner closely with the Sales to support new sales while making sure customers are set up for success. • Build and optimize Customer Success processes, playbooks, and metrics (e.g., retention, NRR, health scores, adoption). • Partner closely with CS Operations to improve tooling, reporting, and scalability. • Forecast customer risk and growth opportunities with accuracy and transparency.
