Role Description Communications and narrative building is a core part of Climate Catalyst’s model for impact. This role will be instrumental in delivering impactful and exciting digital communications that support our programmes delivery impact - by informing, influencing and inspiring action. It will also contribute to building Climate Catalyst’s reputation with our key stakeholders across Europe, Asia and globally. - Build our presence and impact by developing digital communication strategies to support our programmes in Europe, India and Indonesia. - Manage our digital channels and support colleagues to grow their online presence. - Support established programmes of work on aviation and chemicals in Europe and steel in Asia. - Support internal teams and partners across our networks and coalitions to co-build strategies for collective impact. - Assist the Head of Communications in building and protecting the Climate Catalyst brand. Qualifications - Substantial experience in digital and social communications. - Strong knowledge of digital and social campaigning tools and techniques. - Demonstrable experience managing WordPress websites, including content creation and editing using the Gutenberg block editor. - Experience managing digital marketing or engagement campaigns or the digital side of advocacy campaigns. - Experience of using digital channels to reach target audiences. - Experience running paid-digital campaigns is desirable. - Extensive experience in measuring, monitoring, reporting and improving digital impact for an organisation. - Experience of advising colleagues on best practice on digital communications and or branding. - Excellent written and visual content creation skills. - Strong storytelling skills and the ability to support others tell great stories. - Proven experience of working in partnership, particularly in the civil society space. - Excellent organisational and project management skills. - Fluent English is required for this role. - Commitment to Climate Catalyst’s values: Be courageously open-minded, collaborate to accelerate, always be inclusive, listen and learn. Role Description The Programme Manager (India) will play a central role in advancing Climate Catalyst’s work to accelerate the decarbonisation of India’s chemicals sector, with a particular focus on green ammonia and fertilisers. We are looking for candidates who combine strong strategic thinking with the ability to build partnerships, convene diverse stakeholders and translate complex insights into practical advocacy and campaign strategies. The initial phase of this role will focus on strategy development and convening across civil society, industry and policy actors to identify the most effective levers for accelerating the transition to green ammonia and low-carbon fertilisers in India. What you will do: - Strategy & Programme Development: - Work closely with Climate Catalyst teams and partners to craft policy and market solutions and recommendations that advance India’s transition to green ammonia and low-carbon fertilisers, and position these insights to guide policy making and decision-making in industry. - Translate research and stakeholder insights into practical programme strategies. - Partnerships, Convening & Coalition Building: - Engage and convene civil society organisations working on these issues including think tanks, academic institutes, etc. to determine collective strategies for decarbonisation. - Build partnerships with civil society organisations on activities like research that advance our programme objectives. - Represent Climate Catalyst at relevant events and forums organised by partners and business associations. - Industry Engagement: - In collaboration with partners, strategically engage C-suite executives and senior business leaders from the ammonia and fertiliser industry, including fertiliser companies, green ammonia producers, and trade associations in support of programme objectives, drawing on your network and the networks of other colleagues and partners as relevant. - Policy Engagement: - Build knowledge and monitor developments in relevant policies in the field of decarbonising fertilisers and chemicals, with a specific focus on green ammonia and relevant policy mechanisms such as SECI tenders and industrial subsidies, especially on hydrogen and chemicals more broadly. - Engage and manage subject-matter experts, consultants, and researchers as necessary to support our strategies. - Communications: - Represent Climate Catalyst in policy dialogues, industry convenings and partner forums. - Produce clear and compelling written outputs such as briefings, strategy notes and policy insights. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience working in climate, sustainability, policy advocacy, strategy consulting in the social impact sector. - Experience building partnerships and working collaboratively with diverse stakeholders including civil society organisations, industry or policy actors. - Ability to translate complex topics into clear and compelling narratives for different audiences. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to develop strategy and translate insights into action. - Experience working in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve. - Comfort learning new technical topics quickly through research and collaboration. Requirements - Familiarity with the fertiliser, chemicals, hydrogen or broader industrial decarbonisation landscape (helpful but not required). - Experience engaging with Indian policy processes or industry stakeholders (helpful but not required).
