• Build and maintain features across the Clasp Finance platform — including loan origination workflows, school-facing administrative tools, and servicing and collections functionality — with increasing independence. • Write clean, tested Python and TypeScript/JavaScript code — you'll be expected to write unit tests as a matter of course, not as an afterthought. • Contribute to data pipeline work: writing reliable ETL jobs, building observable data flows, and being a first line of defense for data quality issues. • Use AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) as a genuine force multiplier — generating tests, accelerating refactors, and scaling your effective output. • Participate actively in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning — you're expected to ask questions, express opinions and express them clearly. • Learn and apply consumer lending regulatory context (TILA, ECOA, fair lending, state licensing) with support from senior engineers — treating compliance as an engineering constraint, not a legal department problem. • Write documentation and ask good questions — two of the most underrated skills in engineering.
