Role Description We are looking for a dedicated Roblox programmer to join our team and collaborate closely with our programmers. You’ll be collaborating with our programmers to design and maintain core systems that drive the player experience. - Assist in the development of systems such as mesh deformation and decoration systems, dialogue trees, interactions, shops, and more. You will be responsible for implementing essential gameplay features and backend logic, such as: - Interactive creation systems - Player-driven progression mechanics - Dialogue and branching narrative systems - Shops, economy, and user interaction flows - Additional systems to support long-term content updates Qualifications - Proven experience in both front-end and back-end Luau programming - Knowledge of optimization practices for performance across a wide range of devices - Ability to write clean, modular, and scalable code - Strong communication skills and willingness to attend weekly meetings - Reliability in meeting deadlines and delivering milestones - Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently when needed - Curious and not afraid to ask questions Requirements - Experience with Roblox’s Editable Mesh and Editable Image APIs (Nice to Have) - UI animation experience within Roblox (Nice to Have) - Prior work on simulation/tycoon-style games (Nice to Have) - Familiarity with Agile-style workflows or task tracking tools (Notion, Trello, etc.) (Nice to Have) Benefits - Equity/stock options for long-term contributors - Revenue share participation in our first game - Opportunities to transition into future full-time, salaried roles as the studio grows - Public credit and portfolio recognition - Stock bonuses for exceptional contributions - Occasional stipends and other team perks Compensation - Game revenue share of first game (%) - Equity in the company (on standard vesting schedule) - $500 upon game completion
