Role Description Centerbase is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of IT (Operations) to lead the strategy, operations, and continual advancement of our internal technology environment. This role oversees corporate infrastructure, systems, networking, cloud environments, IT support, DevOps alignment, and security-minded operations—ensuring Centerbase’s environments remain secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with organizational growth. This leader will guide a high-performing IT team, drive modernization initiatives, establish operational excellence, and partner closely with Security, Engineering, and Operations to support a highly technical, cloud-driven organization. The ideal candidate blends hands-on technical expertise with strategic vision and a passion for building resilient, high-quality systems that empower people to do their best work. Key Responsibilities - Infrastructure & Operations Leadership - Oversee the performance, reliability, and lifecycle management of Centerbase’s corporate infrastructure and systems. - Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and operational resilience across all environments. - Lead capacity planning, performance monitoring, and continuous optimization to support evolving business needs. - Champion modernization initiatives that improve scalability, security, and operational efficiency. - Cloud Strategy & Modernization - Develop and execute multi-year cloud adoption and migration strategies. - Lead hybrid and cloud transformation initiatives in partnership with Engineering and DevOps. - Design and implement scalable, secure cloud architectures aligned with Centerbase’s long-term platform and business goals. - Internal IT Systems & Corporate Technology - Own the internal IT ecosystem, including networks, servers, endpoints, productivity tools, and identity management. - Define and maintain IT policies, governance, standards, and operational procedures. - Drive automation, workflow optimization, and system integration efforts to improve the employee experience. - Manage role-based access controls, device lifecycle management, and onboarding/offboarding processes. - Security, Risk & Compliance - Partner with Security and Compliance teams to maintain alignment with SOC 2 and other industry standards. - Oversee vulnerability management, patching, configuration management, and secure infrastructure practices. - Support audit readiness, risk assessments, and ongoing policy enforcement across systems and operations. - Leadership & Strategic Planning - Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT Infrastructure and Support team. - Build and execute roadmaps for infrastructure modernization, cloud initiatives, and internal IT transformation. - Collaborate across departments to understand business requirements and deliver secure, scalable solutions. - Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, procurement, licensing, and contract negotiations. - Database & DevOps Partnerships - Provide oversight or strategic alignment for DBA functions to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity. - Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD tooling, automation, observability, and operational readiness. - End-User Technology & Support - Oversee help desk operations to deliver timely, effective support to Centerbase employees and contractors. - Standardize endpoint management, hardware/software lifecycle practices, and enterprise configuration strategies. - Champion a customer-centric service culture that enables employees to work efficiently and effectively. Qualifications - 10+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, operations, or related fields. - 5+ years leading and developing technical teams. - Deep expertise in: - Infrastructure operations & virtualization - Network architectures and security principles - Windows and Linux environments - Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS preferred) - Storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies - Experience managing internal IT systems in a growing technology or SaaS organization. - Strong understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements (SOC 2 preferred), and IT best practices. - Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills. - Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in a modern, fast-paced tech environment. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in SaaS, cloud-native, or high-growth software environments. - Background leading cloud migration or infrastructure modernization initiatives. - Familiarity with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks. - Relevant certifications (ITIL, CISSP, CCNP, cloud certifications, or similar). - AWS Solution Architect certified Professional and AWS SecOps Engineer Certified. Role Description A Solutions Consultant plays a key role throughout the pre and post-sales cycle of Centerbase SaaS products. In this position, you will work in conjunction with the Account Executives to properly configure and demonstrate the Centerbase products to meet the client’s needs. Solutions Consultants are expected to master the Centerbase suite of products and to effectively demonstrate the value and benefits to law firm CXOs, attorneys, associates, accountants, paralegals, and firm administrators. - Interface with executives, senior management, and clients within and outside the organization, serving as a technical resource and providing pre-sales technical and functional support to internal teams and external clients and prospects. - Perform live demonstrations of Centerbase platform to relevant stakeholders with personalized modifications while displaying the value the system provides. - Manage and set customers’ expectations during the software buying cycle. - Provide direction and knowledge in applying Centerbase Software benefits to law firm partners, timekeepers, accountants, and firm admins. - Collaborate with and support Account Executives during the sales process, including planning calls, technical demonstrations, product related deep-dives, implementation overviews, and more. - Answer product feature and technical questions from customers, partners, and colleagues; build working knowledge of competing products and how to technically sell against them. - Record data from customer facing calls to provide insights on trends in the market. - Work with product management to provide feedback about requested product enhancements from customers and prospects. - Stay up to date on both current Centerbase platform functionality and features from the wider legal tech landscape. - Share with other Solutions Consultants best practices and create re-usable assets to improve the quality and efficiency of the team. - Maintain data quality on demo site to provide clean views and ensure top-level performance on live demonstrations. - Support events and customer activities including conferences, online communities, and trade shows. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technical field. - 4 or more years’ related experience with complex software applications including requirements analysis, design, and documentation is a plus. - Ability to assimilate complex ideas and detailed information into elegant written, spoken and visual communications. - Ability to facilitate discussions, lead meetings and present to large, cross-functional groups. - Proven success in contributing to team-oriented environments. - Proven ability to work creatively and analytically to solve business and technical problems. - Ability to build rapport with diverse and differently motivated individuals, groups, and departments. - Demonstrable “do whatever it takes” attitude to get the job done. - Demonstrable ability to consistently deliver results in a high-energy environment. - Background in law firm business practices and workflows is a plus but not required. - Understanding of accounting and billing practices is also a plus but not required.
