Our practices are located Position Summary The Charge Entry & Coding Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely entry of professional charges, validation of coding elements, and preparation of claims for submission to payers. This role ensures services provided are properly documented, coded, and billed in compliance with payer guidelines and regulatory requirements. The position works closely with clinical teams, coding resources, and revenue cycle leadership to support accurate charge capture, minimize billing edits and rejections, and maintain strong first-pass claim acceptance rates. Duties and Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Management • Monitor assigned A/R work queues to ensure timely follow-up on outstanding claims. • Review unpaid claims and identify root causes of delayed reimbursement. • Prioritize accounts based on aging, payer requirements, and financial impact. • Document follow-up activity and claim status updates within the practice management system. • Escalate complex or high-value accounts as needed to leadership. The position works closely with clinical staff, coding resources, and revenue cycle leadership to maintain revenue integrity, minimize claim rejections, and support optimal first-pass claim acceptance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Charge Entry & Coding Validation - Enter professional charges into the practice management system in an accurate and timely manner. - Validate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding for accuracy and completeness prior to claim submission. - Ensure required modifiers, rendering providers, locations, and POS codes are applied appropriately. - Review documentation to ensure services billed are supported by the medical record. - Identify and escalate coding discrepancies or documentation gaps to appropriate clinical or coding resources. Billing & Claim Submission - Prepare and submit claims to payers in accordance with established billing timelines. - Review and resolve system edits and claim scrubbing alerts prior to claim submission. - Ensure claims meet payer guidelines for medical necessity and coding requirements. - Monitor charge lag and claim submission timelines to support revenue cycle performance. Compliance & Revenue Integrity - Maintain compliance with payer regulations, CMS guidelines, and organizational policies. - Support revenue integrity initiatives by identifying trends in billing errors, rejections, or missing information. - Assist with internal audits and documentation review to ensure billing compliance. - Participate in process improvement initiatives to improve charge capture accuracy and efficiency. Job Responsibilities: The Health Coach (Cardiology) will function as a critical member of the Heart Failure Program and will work closely with the heart failure clinical team to provide patient education, guidance, and satisfaction, and ensure that our patients come first. The Health Coach will be responsible for guiding, educating, and bringing solutions to patients in need. Role Description The Clinical Research Site Operations & Optimization Consultant will serve as a strategic advisor responsible for evaluating and strengthening the operational infrastructure supporting clinical research across CVAUSA practices. This consultant will assess current research operations, policies, workflows, and site readiness across multiple locations and provide recommendations to improve efficiency, scalability, and regulatory compliance. The role will focus heavily on reviewing existing policies and procedures, identifying operational gaps, and developing standardized processes that enable practices to successfully conduct industry-sponsored clinical trials. Working closely with CVAUSA research leadership, practice administrators, and site research teams, the consultant will help design and implement operational frameworks that support high-performing clinical research programs across a growing multisite network. This position is well suited for an experienced clinical research operations professional who enjoys evaluating complex systems, building scalable processes, and guiding organizations through operational improvements. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree required. - 7+ years of experience in clinical research operations or clinical trial management. - Strong understanding of industry-sponsored Phase II–IV clinical trials. - Demonstrated experience evaluating or improving research site operations, workflows, or processes. - Experience developing or implementing research policies, procedures, or operational frameworks. - Strong project management and organizational skills. - Ability to work independently while advising multiple stakeholders across a distributed network. - Willingness to travel nationally approximately 25–50%.
