Role Description The Solar Project Manager will serve as a liaison between Capital Good Fund and EPC partners participating in various BRIGHT solar programs. As an in-house subject matter expert on solar design, construction, and long-term maintenance, the Solar Project Manager will provide critical oversight of projects from initial proposal through commissioning, ensuring systems are delivered to specification and perform as expected once placed in service. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Project Design Oversight and Technical Review - Review, evaluate, and approve solar project designs, ensuring alignment with engineering best practices, applicable codes, and organizational standards. - Identify design risks or constructability concerns early and escalate issues to internal stakeholders and external partners as needed. - EPC and Contractor Management - Vet, manage, and maintain strong working relationships with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partners and subcontractors. - Communicate with EPCs throughout project execution, ensuring expectations, deliverables, and timelines are clearly defined and met. - Review contractor submittals, change requests, and project documentation, flagging concerns related to cost, quality, or performance. - Oversee EPCs’ work to ensure projects are built in accordance with approved plans, budgets, schedules, and industry standards. - Support quarterly investor reporting, providing updates on milestones achieved, schedule deviations, risks, and mitigation plans. - Operational Performance and Maintenance Support - Collaborate with the Servicing team to investigate system faults, underperformance, or monitoring alerts. - Coordinate proactive and reactive maintenance with EPCs and contracted maintenance providers. Qualifications - Minimum 2 years experience designing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining behind the meter solar generation systems. - Strong organization skills and attention to detail. - Passion for making solar accessible to all people, regardless of income, ownership status, or housing type. Requirements - Experience with the design, construction, and long-term management of commercial behind the meter solar projects. - NABCEP Photovoltaic Installation Professional (PVIP) Certification. - Experience managing contractors (e.g., as an EPC working with a subcontracted installation crew or electrician). - Deep knowledge of Pennsylvania or Georgia’s energy policies, utility tariffs, building and electrical codes, and permitting and interconnection procedures, or the willingness and ability to learn quickly. - Manufacturer-specific certifications (Enphase commercial microinverter training is a plus, since that is what we safe harbored). - Experience with prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements. - Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms. Role Description The Staff Attorney serves as primary operational legal counsel supporting the organization’s multi-state consumer lending, immigration lending, and solar leasing programs. This role is responsible for regulatory compliance implementation, contract drafting and negotiation, entity governance support, and day-to-day legal guidance to internal stakeholders. The Staff Attorney works closely with the General Counsel to manage regulatory risk across multiple jurisdictions and legal entities and serves as the primary legal partner to operations, lending, and program teams. Core Responsibilities & Duties - Consumer Finance Regulatory Compliance: - Advise on federal and state laws (TILA, ECOA, FCRA, EFTA, UDAAP/UDAP, SCRA) - Support multi-state/immigration/solar lending compliance - Manage licensing - Draft policies - Respond to regulators - Monitor legal developments - Contracts & Commercial Transactions: - Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents, solar leases, vendor/SaaS, servicing, data-sharing, partnership, and intercompany agreements - Maintain templates and flag high-risk issues - Corporate & Nonprofit Governance: - Prepare board consents/resolutions - Support nonprofit compliance and Form 990 review - Assist with board materials and intercompany structuring - Entity & Structural Management: - Form and maintain subsidiaries - Draft operating agreements - Align intercompany funding and documentation with liability isolation strategy - Disputes & Risk Management: - Respond to consumer complaints and demand letters - Support collections and litigation (with outside counsel) - Oversee risk tracking - Manage document retention/litigation holds - Cross-Functional Legal Support: - Provide practical guidance to lending, operations, compliance, finance, and program teams - Lead compliance trainings - Advise on product development risks Qualifications - Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school - Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction - 1-2+ years of relevant legal experience - Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts - Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple projects across entities and jurisdictions - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities - Experience in renewable energy, solar leasing, real estate/property law, or structured finance - Experience serving as counsel of record or providing primary legal support for a subsidiary or business unit - Experience with contract lifecycle management systems - Familiarity with CDFIs, nonprofit organizations, or mission-driven financial institutions - Experience in multi-state regulatory environments - Background in vendor due diligence, risk assessment, or compliance review processes
Role Description The Director of Development reports to the Senior VP of Fundraising and is instrumental in reaching Good Fund’s fundraising goals while growing and diversifying its funding base. An accomplished fundraiser with a track record of successful partnership-building and strong writing and communication skills, the Director of Development will: - Develop and maintain relationships with those dedicated to social change and climate justice who may provide philanthropic funding to Good Fund. - Oversee the Development team, responsible for the health and management of our grants program, including various aspects of grant reporting and compliance, as well as end-to-end funder relationship management. - Work with the Development Specialist, Senior VP of Fundraising, and CEO to prepare grant applications and solicitations for funding. - Execute strategy across the organization’s fundraising efforts, manage funder relationships, and manage overall grant reporting and other fundraising activities. - Collaborate with various departments, such as Accounting, Servicing, and Origination to align grant solicitations with programmatic implementation. - Support the Senior VP of Fundraising in identifying funding sources and strategizing the best uses of grant capital in conjunction with debt capital. Qualifications - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as analytical skills. - Strong experience with grant-writing and proposal preparation. - High proficiency in the use of Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferably Salesforce. - Extremely strong writing skills. - Ability to lead development strategy and build consensus. - Experience with federal funding, compliance, and reporting. - Ability to work well independently. - Detail-oriented. - At least five years of relevant experience in philanthropic and grant funding. - Deep understanding of philanthropic fundraising and its role in social and climate justice issues. - Proven track record of successful relationship building and management, as well as leading successful grant-raising initiatives. Requirements - Experience managing another team member or team. - Experience in the CDFI industry.
