Platform Quality Assurance Specialist We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our QA team as an embedded member of our Platform engineering team. You will work alongside our QA, Development, Product Development, and Support teams to ensure that our platform-level services and infrastructure meet the highest standards for quality before release to customers. These services underpin all our software applications. You will help create test plans, coordinate testing of new platform features and services, and serve as the dedicated QA presence within the Platform team. A successful Platform QA Specialist will have a strong understanding of writing and reviewing user stories and feature requests to appropriately verify and create future test scenarios for regression and automated testing. Candidates should show excellent interpersonal skills for communication across teams made up of both technical and non-technical individuals. You should be detail-oriented, have strong time management skills, and be a hands-on and motivated learner who enjoys keeping up to date with the latest testing strategies. In this role, you will not focus on a single suite of applications. Instead, you'll be embedded with the Platform team, testing and supporting the platform that powers all our applications. You'll stay connected to the broader QA organization while bringing dedicated quality focus to the Platform team's initiatives. Prior experience in manual or automated testing or completion of a related quality assurance certification (CSTE, CAST, CTFL, etc.) is preferred but is not required for this position. As part of our company-wide focus on expanding the responsible use of AI technologies, we are looking for someone who is excited to explore and adopt modern AI-assisted testing and productivity tools. Key Responsibilities: - Test platform infrastructure including APIs, authentication and identity services, configuration management systems, and data lifecycle processes, coordinating with developers to validate integrations, error handling, and expected behaviors. - Build test plans and execute testing for strategic platform initiatives that span the full product portfolio, including efforts in cloud and mobile readiness, security infrastructure, and service architecture. - Explore and adopt existing and emerging AI technologies to assist in testing capabilities and other team tasks. - Validate integrations, security configurations, and data integrity across platform services, ensuring reliable behavior and proper customer-facing outcomes. - Attend Platform scrum ceremonies, participate in sprint planning and effort estimation, and advocate for quality considerations early in the development cycle. - Contribute to exploratory and manual regression testing, test strategy planning, and test execution for all Platform team deliverables. - Build and maintain test plans, test cases, and regression suites specific to platform services and features. - Report and track defects and test failures, working closely with QA and application developers to ensure timely resolution. - Help update and maintain test data for automated and manual tests. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, meet customer expectations, and participate in Agile methodologies. - Coordinate with developers to test technically complex areas such as API integrations, authentication flows, and data migration processes. - Participate in and provide documentation for test plans, cases, and scripts. - Work with the development team and stakeholders to define automated test strategies for new and existing platform features. Qualifications: - Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies - A willingness to learn and develop a working understanding of platform-level concepts such as APIs, authentication protocols, feature management, and cloud infrastructure - Ability to write and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts - Familiarity with various testing and project tracking tools including Jira, Shortcut, Trello, etc. - Experience testing SaaS applications, including testing considerations for API integrations, third-party services, and performance - Understanding of Agile software development methodologies and the ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical team members - Must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skills - Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and provide detailed analysis of software issues - Attention to detail and thoroughness in documentation - Proactive attitude toward staying updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices - Experience with AI technologies related to testing methodologies is a plus Benefits: At BS&A, we love our team members and offer a highly competitive compensation and benefit package. Director of Implementation Services [Lansing, MI; Chicago, IL; or remote] We are looking for an experienced Director of Implementation Services to lead our rapidly growing team of Solution Consultants and Implementation & Training Specialists within our Professional Services organization. The Director of Implementation Services will oversee these teams of Subject Matter Experts as they work directly with our customers to implement the BS&A Cloud ERP solution. Reporting to the VP of Professional Services, the Director of Implementation Services will partner closely with peers leading Project Management and Data Conversion to ensure successful customer implementations while driving continuous improvement in processes and tools to maximize efficiency and speed of projects.
