Role Description Bowhead is seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA Functional Lead – Plan-to-Stock (P2S) & Defense & Security to provide consultative support to the Navy ERP Program Office in Washington, D.C. The selected candidate will serve as the Government’s senior functional advisor for the Plan-to-Stock workstream supporting ERP+ modernization and implementation of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Defense & Security (D&S). This position can be remote. This is a senior advisory role—not a configuration or transactional support position. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of functional architecture, enterprise integration, governance, and business transformation while advising Government leadership throughout the ERP+ modernization lifecycle. As the program transitions from requirements definition into implementation, this position will evolve into an Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) role, providing objective oversight of System Integrator (SI) functional designs, configuration decisions, integrations, and solution implementation to ensure alignment with Government-approved requirements, SAP leading practices, enterprise architecture, and long-term sustainment. Responsibilities - Provide strategic functional leadership throughout the ERP+ modernization lifecycle. - Lead Plan-to-Stock (P2S) fit-to-standard workshops and requirements refinement. - Support decomposition of L2, L3, and L4 business capabilities into implementable solution concepts. - Lead discussions with Navy stakeholders across multiple commands and functional communities. - Provide recommendations that maximize standard SAP capabilities while minimizing customization. - Evaluate the enterprise-wide impacts of proposed Plan-to-Stock business processes and solution designs across: - Procurement - Inventory Management - Warehouse Management - Supply Planning - Defense & Security capabilities - Data Management - Reporting - Cybersecurity - External enterprise interfaces - Prepare executive briefings, governance artifacts, business cases, and decision support materials. - Support release planning, production readiness, testing strategy, deployment planning, and post-go-live stabilization. Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) / Solution Oversight - Serve as the Government’s independent functional advisor during design, configuration, and implementation. - Review functional designs, configuration proposals, and solution documentation for compliance with approved requirements. - Validate that proposed solutions satisfy approved L2/L3/L4 capabilities and SAP leading practices. - Identify functional gaps, design risks, integration issues, and unnecessary customization. - Evaluate impacts to business processes, cybersecurity, audit readiness, sustainment, performance, and maintainability. - Support design reviews, architecture reviews, milestone decision events, and Government acceptance activities. SAP Defense & Security Focus - Advise on Force Structure, Authorized Materiel, Unit Readiness, Equipment Readiness, Deployment Logistics, Operational Inventory Visibility, Asset Accountability, and Weapon System Sustainment. - Assist the Government in leveraging SAP D&S capabilities to replace legacy customizations where practical. Qualifications - Ten or more (10+) years supporting SAP logistics, supply chain, or military sustainment business processes. - Five or more (5+) years supporting SAP S/4HANA implementations or modernization initiatives. - Demonstrated expertise in Plan-to-Stock capabilities including: - Material Master - Inventory Management - Warehouse Management - Demand & Supply Planning - Logistics Execution - Enterprise Asset Management - Physical Inventory - Asset Visibility - Equipment Accountability - Experience integrating P2S with P2P, O2C, R2R, Finance, Data Management, Reporting, and Analytics. - Experience leading executive-level briefings, governance activities, and fit-to-standard workshops. - Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, Business, or related discipline (Master's preferred). Preferred Qualifications - Experience supporting Navy ERP, ERP+, or other DoD ERP modernization efforts. - Experience with SAP Defense & Security (D&S) or DFPS. - Experience supporting Government oversight of SAP implementations. - Experience with military logistics, readiness, authorized materiel, equipment accountability, and sustainment. - Experience with data analytics and visualization. Desired Certifications - SAP S/4HANA Materials Management (MM) - SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement - SAP S/4HANA Asset Management (EAM/PM) - SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) - SAP Defense & Security (D&S)/DFPS training - Relevant DAWIA/DAU certifications Additional Requirements - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to independently advise senior Government leadership. - Strong analytical, facilitation, and critical thinking skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence. - Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance. Physical Demands - Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds. - Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time. - Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically. Security Clearance SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location. Target salary range is $220K to $250K depending upon experience.

Role Description Bowhead seeks an Oracle Applications Developer to join our team in Fort Gregg Adams, VA in supporting the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Financial Database Division. This position provides a fully remote work option for candidates. However, candidates within commuting distance to Bowhead locations are also recommended to apply. The Oracle Applications Developer will be responsible for managing DoD Enterprise Architecture, Process Remediation and must be able to provide subject matter expertise on legacy system conversion, enterprise architecture, and process remediation support for processes and procedures undergoing ERP. - Developing auditable business process reengineering methodologies and identification of internal controls for business functions undergoing ERP - Making consistent recommendations of best practices for successful transition to the DAI ERP - Providing development expertise of the As-Is and To-Be Enterprise Architecture - Recommending core DAI ERP functionality add-ons to ensure all necessary FB functionality is provided in the target environment - Recommending and instituting best practices of converting open data items to the new Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) solution and for maintaining historical legacy data for auditability purposes - Providing analysis, development and execution of the strategy for system retention, security, and migration Qualifications - A bachelor’s degree and at least five to seven (5-7) years of experience in DoD Financial Management Enterprise Architecture, Process Remediation for new modules upgrades or enhancements or releases - Must meet DoD 8570.01-M baseline certification requirements for this position – highly qualified candidates that meet DoD IAT Level II certification requirement are encouraged to apply - Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts - Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Requirements - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds - Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time - Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically - Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
