• Serves as a Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities supporting DoD information systems • Performs cybersecurity activities required to authorize information systems in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) • Provides technical expertise for information systems undergoing the authorization process • Applies National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-53 security controls during the assessment and authorization process • Evaluates cybersecurity requirements across complex enterprise IT environments, including enclaves, applications, and outsourced IT services • Identifies security control deficiencies and determines the appropriate severity of vulnerabilities • Assesses the impact of identified vulnerabilities on an information system's current or future authorization • Develops recommendations to address cybersecurity risks and improve system compliance • Briefs senior management on the status, progress, and results of RMF and authorization activities • Ensures compliance with applicable DoD cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security standards

• Responsible for documenting existing operations and practices. • Analyzes existing operations and practices against documented best practices. • Develops plans of action and milestones to align operations and practices with industry best practices. • Provides technical guidance concerning the business implications of the application of various systems.

• Support National Guard Bureau Engineering Support Services for Air National Guard • Lead assigned basing Bed Down facility actions • Conduct Bed Down planning for weapon systems • Provide facility and infrastructure analysis for site surveys • Assist in Course of Action development and validation of facility costs • Model and analyze basing enterprise criteria • Prepare professional support documentation and participate in planning meetings • Lead, mentor, and train junior field staff while managing projects and timelines

• Independently perform information system security control validation and IT audit activities across complex systems • Verify cybersecurity controls are implemented and operating correctly • Conduct assessments to ensure controls protect against unauthorized access • Validate compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards • Support RMF authorization process and perform technical reviews of RMF packages • Conduct continuous monitoring and vulnerability analysis • Document findings in formal reports and prepare technical documentation • Coordinate with managers to resolve cybersecurity issues and improve compliance
