Bezos.aiBetter order fulfilment and delivery for small and medium online sellers
• You'll become a cornerstone of our engineering team and help build the platform that powers global fulfilment - orders, inventory, shipments and returns flowing across our network every day • Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you won't just write production-grade code: you'll own core services end-to-end, mentor other engineers, influence the big technical decisions, and help shape how we build • Build the core platform. Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure services and APIs in our serverless cloud environment, predominantly in Go and React • Own it end-to-end. Take domain-specific services from architectural design through to deployment, monitoring, and investigating and fixing the root causes of issues - you build it, you run it • Build with AI. Use modern AI-powered dev tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) every day to ship faster, and help set the standard for how we engineer with AI • Champion engineering excellence. Raise the bar on development workflows, testing, deployment and observability. Release small, fast and often - and keep the code simple, because the best code is the code you don't have to write • Level up the team. Mentor other engineers through code reviews, pair programming and design discussions, and help shape our engineering culture and best practice • In Your First 90 Days, You Will: Get to know the platform end-to-end and ship your first production code in your opening weeks • Take ownership of a domain-specific service, from design through to deployment and monitoring • Establish your AI-assisted engineering workflow and share what's working with the team • Start raising the bar through code reviews, pairing and design discussions

**Your Mission** Be the dependable engine of the ops team. You'll keep orders flowing - spotting and resolving the ones that get stuck or go missing - answer seller and operational queries, run our operational checks, and help build the AI skills and automations that take the repetitive work off everyone's plate. You'll learn the whole order journey end-to-end and, within months, start figuring things out on your own. **Core Pillars** - **Keep the flow clean:** Run the daily cross-system checks; spot orders that are missing, stuck or mismatched, and resolve or escalate them. - **Support sellers & partners:** Answer operational tickets, run checkers, and create/send invoices accurately and on time. - **Learn to build:** Use Claude to build skills and automations that remove repetitive work, starting with the recruitment exercise and growing from there. - **Improve as you go:** Drive incremental improvements to the tools and processes you touch every day. **What you'll achieve in your first 90 days** - Run the daily cross-system reconciliation reliably and clear order exceptions in your queue. - Answer operational tickets within SLA and run the Bezos checkers independently. - Build your first working Claude skill or small automation that saves the team time. - Deliver clean, on-time work on a team project and start figuring out open-ended tasks with less hand-holding.
Business Operations Manager
Bezos.aiBetter order fulfilment and delivery for small and medium online sellers
• Own a meaningful slice of operations end-to-end — and build the tools, automations and playbooks that let our network scale without adding headcount. • You'll own the daily heartbeat of the platform: making sure tickets are resolved within SLA, reconciling data across systems, hunting down the orders that fall through the cracks, holding warehouses and carriers to their SLAs, and turning recurring operational pain into permanent fixes (often as a Claude skill or agent, a Retool dashboard, or a Make automation you build yourself). • Keep the flow clean: Reconcile the Bezos Platform, WMS and Operations Dashboard daily; find and resolve missing/stuck/mismatched orders before sellers notice. • Hold the network to account: Monitor warehouse & carrier performance against SLAs; chase, escalate and reconcile invoices against rate cards. • Build the machine: Replace manual, repetitive work with Claude skills/agents, automations and dashboards, so the team scales output, not headcount. • Close the loop on sellers: Resolve operational tickets fast, find the root cause, and fix it upstream so it doesn't recur. • What you'll achieve in your first 90 days: Own the daily cross-system reconciliation and cut the count of unresolved order exceptions to near zero. Ship at least one automation, Claude skill or agent that removes a recurring manual task from the team's week. Take ownership of a slice of the warehouse/carrier portfolio: running its performance reviews and invoice reconciliation independently. Move at least one company OKR (despatch rate, contact rate, or resolution time) in the right direction and present it in the weekly metrics review.
Role Description We're looking for a Head of Operations to build the operational engine that lets us scale fulfilment quality without scaling headcount in lockstep. You'll inherit a team of 4 and grow it to 6-7 over your first 12 months. You'll sit at the centre of every important operational decision, as a key strategic partner to the CEO and Board and a critical member of the Senior Leadership Team. This is not a role for maintaining the status quo; it's for an operator who wants to define and drive our path to efficient, profitable scale. This is not a classic COO role, and it is not a classic Head of Ops role. It sits between operations, seller experience, 3PL partner management, finance, and engineering. You should think like a top-tier operator AND be comfortable enough with Claude, SQL, APIs, and internal tooling to turn a messy manual workflow into a system that runs itself. The Mission: What You Will Achieve - Transform our operations from reactive firefighting into a proactive, data-driven machine that compounds. - Deliver on our promises to sellers while building the automation and team infrastructure that frees the business to grow. - Combine hands-on operational leadership with strategic thinking and a builder's mindset. - Lead from the front by building automations in Claude, spending time in warehouses, and answering customer tickets yourself. - Be the kind of operator who's comfortable with technical tools and processes. Core Pillars of Success - Operational Excellence: Own the end-to-end fulfilment process (warehouse partners, carriers, customer support) and make it run reliably at scale. - Partner Performance: Manage our 3PL and carrier relationships with discipline: SLAs, scorecards, escalation paths, and commercial leverage. - Build, Automate & Augment: Design and ship AI-driven operational workflows using Claude, Make, and Retool. - Customer Operations: Own the customer support function, drive CSAT and inbound-contact-rate improvements. - Team & Playbook: Take ownership of an existing 4-person ops team, stabilise it, and grow it to 6-7 people. Qualifications - Top-tier management consulting pedigree. - Frontline operator: Experience on the shop floor, in customer support, and building automations. - AI-native builder: Proven ability to use tools like Claude, Make, and Retool. - Operations depth: Direct experience running operations in a high-growth environment. - SQL fluency: Ability to write SQL queries to interrogate the platform directly. - Startup experience: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. - Analytical rigour: Use data to diagnose problems, prioritise improvements, and measure impact. - Strong communicator: Able to manage external partners and represent operations credibly to the board. Bonus Points (Nice to Have) - Degree in engineering, science, or related quantitative field. - Prior experience in logistics, e-commerce fulfilment, or supply chain. - Prior experience managing a customer support function, including familiarity with ticketing systems. Benefits - Own meaningful infrastructure at the intersection of operations, seller experience, 3PL partner management, finance, and engineering. - Work directly with the founder in a company that treats AI-native systems as a core way it runs. - Real product-market fit, real brands, real traction, and a clear operational problem worth solving. - A seat on the Senior Leadership Team from day one, with a genuine path from Head of Operations to COO. - Travel to our warehouse network across the UK, EU, and US. - Strong growth in scope, career, and compensation as the business scales.

• Your 12-month mission is to transform our operations from reactive firefighting into a proactive, data-driven machine that compounds. • You will be the engine of our operational excellence: delivering on our promises to sellers while building the automation and team infrastructure that frees the business to grow. • This role combines hands-on operational leadership with strategic thinking and a builder's mindset. • You will lead from the front. That means building automations in Claude with your own hands, time in warehouses with the team, and answering customer tickets yourself, not just directing others to do it. • Own the end-to-end fulfilment process (warehouse partners, carriers, customer support) and make it run reliably at scale. • Manage our 3PL and carrier relationships with discipline: SLAs, scorecards, escalation paths, and commercial leverage. • Design and ship AI-driven operational workflows using Claude, Make and Retool, reducing manual intervention, enabling real-time visibility, and building automations that compound over time rather than one-off fixes. • Own the customer support function, drive CSAT and inbound-contact-rate improvements, and build a team that resolves issues before they escalate. • Take ownership of an existing 4-person ops team from day one. Stabilise it, raise the bar, and grow it to 6-7 people. Document the operational playbook and build SOPs that make the business scalable and less founder-dependent.
