Role Description The Compliance Audit Manager conducts audit planning, writes audit reports, documents audit findings, and makes recommendations. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in business or a related field - 3-5 years Tax Credit/HUD/HOME/BOND program experience - HCCP, COS or equivalent license preferred Requirements - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, leadership, and residents. - Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines efficiently. - A passion for chasing excellence and providing exemplary customer service. - Ethical conduct, especially when handling sensitive or confidential information. - Ability to multitask and meet all required deadlines. - Familiarity with IRS/HUD rules and state specific rules and regulations that govern the Tax Credit Program. - Ability to navigate multiple software systems. - Strong oral and presentation skills. Essential Job Functions - Keeps current on laws and regulations that might affect the organization's policies. - Reviews and analyzes compliance audits. - Conducts audit planning, writes audit reports, documents audit findings, and makes recommendations. - Coordinates requests with Director of Compliance to ensure compliance issues are addressed in a timely manner. - Educates company managers and staff on various industry rules, regulations, and policies. - Assists in coordinating regulatory responses if compliance participation is needed. - Evaluates and prepares procedural documentation, ongoing monitoring, testing, and remediation. - Tests operational effectiveness of key controls using a variety of approaches, including sampling, corroboration, observation, re-performance, etc. - Identifies and shares best controls practices across process areas and geographies. - Oversees the supervisory process including generating, tracking, and delivering disciplinary action. - Performs all other duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Work Environment - Frequently sit, stand and walk. - Regularly required to talk or hear. - Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. - Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. - Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. - Vision abilities to include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. - Temperature in the workplace is typically moderate, though the ability to withstand seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary. Travel Requirements - This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.
