Role Description BBE is seeking an experienced Manager, Freight Forwarding, to lead our freight forwarding team and drive efficiency. This position will lead the daily operations of BBE’s freight forwarding business and is accountable for the team's performance, development, and engagement. This role connects BBE’s supply chain network of shippers, carriers, warehouses, and suppliers through reliable, well-executed transportation and logistics solutions. - Responsible for achieving financial targets for each branch (Domestic and International). - Drive revenue growth, manage costs and margins, and ensure the branch operates within approved budgets while delivering high-quality service to clients. - Preferred location is Edmonton, but open to qualified candidates across Canada. Qualifications - Post-secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and significant freight forwarding or logistics experience. - CIFFA Advanced Certificate is preferred. - 3+ years of supervisory/management experience is preferred. - Exercise sound judgement and emotional awareness when addressing complex people matters. - Knowledge of supply chain challenges in Northern/Remote locations in Canada is considered an asset. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. - Exceptional internal and external customer service. - Excellent team player, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
